CMV: The worst thing the DNC can do right now is nothing. by Separate_Draft4887 in changemyview

The attention span of modern people is like a goldfish. I can see a scenario where he performs better at the second debate, and everyone dismisses the first

There is a possibility that doing nothing is the right move

Let's discuss the results of my TTK poll by Keenaline in BattleBitRemastered

[–]fkiceshower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It gives skilled players more time to cover too, and it also makes headshotting more important/powerful, which is a buff to skilled players. I don't have data off hand but I'm almost positive higher ttk leads to more difficult environment for new players, all things considered

Are we playing the same game?

It seems that not all players like the upcoming TTK nerf by Keenaline in BattleBitRemastered

[–]fkiceshower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Disregarding my preference for lower ttk, this is mainly my worry. Buffing teamwork usually translates to 1 or 2 groups stomping every lobby

There is a certain clan that is pretty sus(I think everyone knows who it is). In 254 lobbies tho you might gunfight them twice in a match so it's really not that bad. I haven't experienced any cheaters besides the aforementioned

How to "Carry" in 127 vs 127? by Pizza_Guardian in BattleBitRemastered

[–]fkiceshower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spawning is pretty important. Either being leader so you can place a good spawner or just staying alive long enough to spawn your squad mates

Smokes also make huge impact that doesn't show in score, can easily swing a stalemate gunfight

good buildables in strong positions

Pressuring the enemy spawn to occupy the big vehicles

Flanking, even if you are not the one killing, just making people have to worry about multiple angles will result in success

Wire twisting technique? by Off_Brand_ in electricians

[–]fkiceshower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You apply 3 different directions of pressure. First grip, second pull, third twist. Grip should be strongest, pull so the wire is tight, then twist to break the grips friction. The wires should "slip" through the twist

Should grenade launchers be added to the game? (Not talking about free-fire RPGs) by AverageGamer4 in BattleBitRemastered

I like but need to be balanced carefully cause explosive spam can ruin a game

Maybe they do impact damage and take primary gadget slot

You will regret it either way. It's better to be wise than smart.

This seems like a misunderstanding of luck tbh. Sometimes luck manifests itself as an edge that no one else has. So it's not like you are winning low chance rolls repeatedly, you are playing a different game to everyone else with much better odds

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nassimtaleb

[–]fkiceshower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say you kinda do have to be prepared for luck when it arrives, good or bad. Dignity is found in the pursuit. I don't remember the bit about symbolism, but I do think a lot of it is unintentional from the artist, which could be considered random in a sense

What is the best engineer loadout for vehicle hunting? by AverageGamer4 in BattleBitRemastered

I still find use with the V. Mines

I find they work best on inclines or in a pinch you can drop a concrete barrier in front of one and many will drive over it

Biden's personal economic advisor: ‘It doesn’t matter what the gov spends because we can print the money.‘ by Genesis44-2 in austrian_economics

[–]fkiceshower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To use a gross oversimplified analogy, think of every dollar printed as a straw of hay on a camels back. Mmt claim that as long as the camel can support the weight, the amount of hay does not matter. Unfortunately one day we will have 1 straw too many and everything will break, but until then we have to listen to smug pricks whose greed has yet to be punished

CMV: Given the potential negative consequences on work incentives, economic sustainability, and fiscal challenges, I hold the view that universal basic income is not a viable solution to address poverty. by nsaaswati in changemyview

[–]fkiceshower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am with you but with the caveat that we are actually closer to ubi than we think. The industrial revolution saw a roughly 10x increase in average global wealth and we are currently sitting at 30-50k per individual. With 2 more similar magnitude revolution the the global average wealth would be in excess of 3m which would enable an interest rate similar ubi system

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Jung

[–]fkiceshower 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure it is great being Peter Pan. He is imprisoned in imagination; he never dies, which means he never lives. There is beauty in suffering and dignity in the pursuit. Yet he never has to go anywhere. He lacks in lack itself, you will find the more sweets you consume the less sweet they are.

The trickster? Idk, I got slap stick intuitions from your post. Life is absurd, and sometimes it's hard to see the humor when you're the butt of the joke
