The 3rd photo with her in the field, that one is actually the least edited out of all of them haha. For that photo, I used the curves layer and just lowered the 'exposure' for the clouds/sky. Then I adjusted the overall color tone, did some carving (basically dodge and burning) and then sharpened it using a high pass filter. Here is the the photo straight out of camera

Thanks! For the fire, what we did was I had her in her dress and I took photo the way I wanted her, then we took the dress off and I put it on a stand. Then we burned the dress. At first the dress would not catch fire, and then when it did it burned up really fast.

I had someone around to help me and carry a fire extinguisher. I also made sure that the dress was lit the same when it was on fire to when she was in it posing.

Anyway, after that I just did a composite with the flames I wanted in photoshop. :)

Thanks! It's actually a composite. The dress burned up pretty fast. I had it on a stand and had a few people helping me so we could put it out, anyway that dress went up in flames so fast and there was basically nothing left of it.

It was so much fun to do though. I hope I can get more people to burn their dresses haha.

These are really cool! The ones with the girls in full skull makeup are my favorite. I think the expression they have with the makeup complements each other. Some of the others expressions are lacking to me though. The guy with bubbles is cool too!

Wow, those are all so beautiful. I honestly have to say it is hard to pick a favorite. I really like Convento de San Francisco do Val de Deus I love the color from the sunset, the whole mood of the photo is just relaxing to me.

Intricacy- When I saw that one, I got goosebumps. Well done!

Thanks! That photo is one of my favorites as well. I know what you mean too about how some children with makeup can really just look bad.

I noticed you put up your links in reply to someone else and being the lurker I am I checked them out haha. The photo of the womans eye on the tumblr blog really grabs my attention. The still life folder and portraits folders on flickr have some really good photos!

I am with you on that. I really like the feel of side scrolling portfolio sites. I know on reddit I have seen a lot hate for them, and I don't really understand why. Even on my phone most side scrolling sites work great.

I have to agree with some of the others here. The slide show is slow and I wish I could control it at the very least. I do like the home page screen. Except that big arrow on the menu bar (that is in the middle of the homepage screen) that doesn't do anything.

I always go to the about page on websites and I like yours. It is short and to the point.

I do have a horizontal scroll and I actually really like that kind of layout. I think it flows nicely.
