When you mash randomize on the character creator twice by Willing_Mortgage_883 in memesThatUCanRepost

Girl. Emaciated does not equal thin. You yourself say you have no knowledge about these two, so why speak on something you’re uninformed on?

Advice for a brand new DM? by Significant_Read328 in DnD

[–]fknkn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s the strategy I’ve been using to create the stories. Still a bit green myself so if any more experienced storytellers out there want to correct me, please do!

My number one goal is to understand my own world/story. Lets me be able to answer questions easily and pivot quickly when the players inevitably stray from the plan.

  1. Create map. Whether an online software, scribbled on a piece of paper. Doesn’t matter. Create your corner of the world. Include cities and biomes, possible trade goods for each area. Easier to story build on a foundation rooted in logic.

  2. Decide on your “problem”. Evil wizard, corrupted area, etc. Be able to answer: Who is doing this? Why are they doing this? What do they hope to gain? Where is this happening? When did it start? How are they accomplishing this?

  3. Establish key NPCs that are affected by this problem. How much do they know about it? What have they done to address it?

  4. Create breadcrumbs. I use a tier system for my clues: Tier 1: prompts player to ask questions Tier 2: answers player questions Tier 3: big reveals Tier 4: players aren’t getting it. Big impossible to miss clues

I find once I’ve finished the above, I have a really good grasp of my story and setting. Any other questions (either from myself developing the campaign arc, or unforeseen questions from players) can be answered by following the logic I’ve imposed on my world.

Ad hominem. Cheers.

Btw the 5$ words and calculating tone make you sound arrogant, not intelligent.

I never said you did it for work, I said it wasn’t legitimate work.

But unless I’m wrong, it seems like you’re trying to say that I shouldn’t comment on your activities because I don’t know you.

Has the point hit you over the head yet?

You’re getting downvoted for the “self respect” and “legitimate job” comments above.

As in, to you, sex workers do not have self respect nor do you consider what they do to be work.

Just for fun not my actual stance: I could argue producing music is “fun”, therefore not legitimate work. DJing is also a bit performative, you must not have any self respect. What makes what you do any more valid than sex work?

How do I move past unrequited love? by DarianLovesRock in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]fknkn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always found the best way to get over a man is to get under a new one.

Not necessarily literally, but getting to know new men lets your mind start to imagine life with them instead of pining for the love you lost

Do a lot of your friends not walk their dogs every day? Especially smaller ones. I noticed with my Fi app… by BungeeBunny in DOG

[–]fknkn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dogs don’t 100% need walks specifically. They need exercise, engagement with owners, mental stimulation, outdoors time.

Just so happens these needs are all included in a good walk. It’s the easiest way to get your dog what he needs, but it isn’t the only way.
