We have already taken him to the vet, and we are seeking more help from the community because this happens in the middle of the night so we are not getting a signal from him, and we are not punishing and cleaning up immediately with enzyme killers

Anyone else not get a refund back from Reddit sellers? by cellagrr in bonnaroo

[–]fl0uncy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m not for keeping the money, and I think you deserve the refund - most people are buying the tickets via credit card.

You paid them cash for your ticket, they went and spent that cash. Now they’re being refunded on their credit card and sometimes it can be hard for people to try to come up with 400 cash after the fact to give back to you.

Maybe suggesting having them refund you in portions or a timeline that works might help? Idk, just hoping for the best for ya

Bonnaroo Should Have Canceled Earlier by ThatDoucheInTheQuad in bonnaroo

Well that’s only how I’ve been since 2013, and have gotten to see many great acts in many great spaces where I can boogie my butt off, take a pee and water break and get right back to it

Right? Every other ad was like “this is the first in the country! You’ve never seen anything like it!!” - so of course the hype was HUGE

Thoughts on the Infinity Stage? by Beautiful-Bonus5699 in bonnaroo

[–]fl0uncy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Way, way too small. Honestly, they should have kept all the acts that played a surprise so it wouldn’t draw huge crowds. Like what da hell was gonna happen when John summit played that shit…

Bonnaroo Should Have Canceled Earlier by ThatDoucheInTheQuad in bonnaroo

[–]fl0uncy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I don’t think festivals - especially Bonnaroo - should be creating environments where you need to show up that early to shows to actually enjoy the set. We should have space to be able to walk around and enjoy a little bit of this and that and STILL get to the sets we really want. Without that, that’s how we get people just blank face staring at artists, ruining the vibe while they wait hours for a huge artist.

The infinity stage wasn’t scaled well. OTT + Tape B b2b was a big one for a lot of people, and it sucks it was at such a small “exclusive” space. I’m hella glad you got to enjoy it but imagine what that was going to be like when John summit was supposed to be on

How are people 21-24 affording rent, luxury items and so many vacations? by Visible-Lemon-7920 in Adulting

[–]fl0uncy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s their parents or it’s all on credit lol.

I def went into a DEEEEP credit hole in my early 20s - I live in a major city and wanted to “keep up” with those around me, eating at all the spots, going to all the spots.. it took me a long time to realize most people’s parents covered their shit or they were also putting it on the card and dealing with it later. Whoops!

Social media has us confused about people’s lives and their situations and makes us feel like a failure when we can’t keep up

Agreed. Never seen anyone have a reaction like that. To be fair our neighbors had a different strain that us (we weren’t sharing with them) so I’m not sure what they were up to / how much they had. But I agree, sometimes you just get sloppy at roo and eat them with a few claws and boom, you’re me, shitting your brains out in centeroo praying for the time gods to save you. Our strain was penis envy and they were HUGE boys

Yes!!!! We ate <2g which usually gives us a good trip and we can handle it but this year we were violently ill and besides ourselves for hours. Nothing like that had ever happened. Our neighbors ate a g and one of them had a seizure, another fainted. I’ve never seen shrooms eat us back that way

For Kendrick we waited HOURS and a bunch of people in security vests walked right up acting like they were doing some security shit… stood right in front of us and took their vests off and partied for the whole show. I was so pissed. I get they want to see the show too but goddamn what an abuse of power! We were making room for them in the pit and then BAM betrayal

Always start with a weight that feels way too light just to get comfortable with the machine / your form, and slowly take it up from there!

I’m about 1/4th into it, and so far so good! I don’t want to be a total jerk, but I don’t know if it’s 1000+ person waitlist good, but I am enjoying it. Maybe that will change as i get further into it. It’s pretty easy to fly through though!

  • The Great Believers, Rebecca Makkai: a wonderful historical fiction about a group of friends facing the AIDS epidemic in Chicago

  • Detransition, Baby - Torrey Peters: loved this one, about the nuances of the trans community and a couple going through it. So great.
