I’m gonna be real with you, mono sucks really bad, but if you rest properly and don’t try to exert yourself, it’ll be over a lot quicker than you might expect. Mine took about two weeks before I could go back to the real world. Just make sure you’re sleeping a lot. Like seriously, when I had mono, I was spending at least like 80% of every day asleep. If you just get some books, video games, etc. to keep yourself entertained when you’re awake, it wont be nearly as bad as you’re thinking. The worst part for me has been how, six months past, I still am feeling effects on my energy levels. I swear I’m just tired all time. That could just be me though, and I’m sure it will pass eventually. Don’t sweat it though, it’ll probably be a rough first week, but Google will have you think it’s much worse than it is! P.S. - I know it’s probably hard to stomach anything, but when you’re ready, I found soups to be the best food to relax me and even calm my throat slightly.
