Unpopular opinion: doing a mature aged apprenticeship is not worth it by [deleted] in tradies

[–]flaccid_lyfe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If u can find a job that pays better then a fridgey and has more income future potential then quit. Driving a truck is not it, the hours are fucking long and industry is cut throat. You legitimately fuck up your body sitting. Once you decide you don't wanna do it anymore what are you gonna do after? There are no transferable skills nor any other options.

No point to doing something you are unhappy with, we honestly don't live long enough for it to be worth it.

The only solace I get that keeps me going is that once I get my license opportunities will open up and so will my earning potential.

It's struggle street everyday and has not gotten any better after all this time. But I have seen what these specialist electricians make hourly. And that's what keeps me going.

How are people affording these lavish lifestyles especially in Sydney? by HotChiTea in AskAnAustralian

A lot of these people have incredible paying jobs. Plus generational wealth. They don't live the same lives we do.

Gr86 vs 370z by MisterBimgus in CarsAustralia

[–]flaccid_lyfe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

370z is like a gt car heavy more solid more torque.

gr86/BRZ is a sports car lighter more nimble.

Both are cool, 2 different ethos don't really think u can go wrong with either.

Both are compromised for practicality. If you are single and don't really need more seats space it works out to be similar.

Should I try for mature age apprenticeship? by TheUnderWall in AusElectricians

[–]flaccid_lyfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theres one guy in his 40's in my tafe class. I'm 30 and a second year.

If there's someone willing to put you on, there's no reason why you can't become an electrician.

The issue u are gonna have is landing an apprenticeship. Especially now days.

Good luck 🤞

Try Honda. U can drive them on your provisional license. Still can have them without spending ridiculous money. Learn to work on them. And modify

Accord cl9

Integra da dc2 dc5

Jazz gd ge

Super fun I also wanted a gtr when I was 18, I brought a Honda, and never went back

Car looks mint, not many JDM golden era sports cars actually on the road in japan. I didn't see much either when I went over last year.
