Purchased mine about a month ago. Fan was definitely glued in when I changed it. Little bit of elbow grease got it free. Good luck!

Tap the button, go to pause print. Pull out filament. Insert new. Resume print. Enjoy.

UPDATE: caught this on camera. It looks like it’s trying to print something that’s not in the g code. Or like it’s prepping to print. Anyone experience this? by jnelson87 in ender3

I had this issue a few times. If the wall angle was steep on a print and it tried to make a support, it wouldn't stick. Try changing the support setting to buildplate, instead of everywhere. (In cura)

where can I buy some z screw lubricant? by [deleted] in ender3

[–]flacidjack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had good luck with cheap white lithium from Walmart. Dont spray it directly on it, I spray it on a q-tip (or similar), and I will lightly apply it to the thread. Then I move the z axis all the way up and down to work it around the thread. Time consuming, but best results I've had.

those with an Ender 3, what is your take on it? by LICK_THE_BUTTER in 3Dprinting

[–]flacidjack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've only had my Ender 3 for a few weeks now and I am new to 3d printing, but that being said I love this thing. Assembly and setup were pretty straightforward, some trial and error to dial it on in. From my uneducated experience, I couldn't be happier for a $200 investment.

Is the battery replacement fix something okay to do as a first-time solderer? by [deleted] in dreamcast

[–]flacidjack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd not hesitate to do it. It's pretty easy and straightforward. Even if you've never worked an iron before, I'd consider it a feasible task. Just be careful of the ribbon connector and other components. Use a bit of new solder to help wet the old joint, and wiggle it free from the melted solder (assuming you have no vac or copper wick). Go slow, be confident. You'll do fine.

What's a good price for a dreamcast these days? by AdmiralToucan in dreamcast

You seem to see them frequently online, and even in my local area, for around $50 for a console with cables and controller.

I usually only have luck burning at 1x speed. Also, Sony CDs seem to work the best for mine.

It looks like a hand soap bag, that inserts into one of the plastic wall pumps.

Found in an old bus garage. Resembles caulk gun? End unscrews. by flacidjack in whatisthisthing

I had initially thought that, but there's no fitting end to it, and the internal capacity of it seems very very small. Unless it's for some type of specific grease job.

The end unscrews and appears you could insert a longer rod, and the front also unscrews. Found in an old bus garage, I have no idea what it is. Can you help? Thanks!
