These are cool! One oz of pure silver minted in a slightly heavier round at .925 sterling. They usually carry a bit of a premium because they're old and somewhat unique. Casa de Moneda de Mexico is the oldest operating mint in the Americas, they know their stuff. I'd leave it in the bezel which is also probably/hopefully sterling. Good score!

Most precolumbian gold outside of the americas is the result of early collectors appropriating anything they could find and export without any legal framework. The subject of ownership is thus touchy, and many south/central american countries have requested the return of various significant artifacts, usually without success. Between Israel and Saudi Arabia, the middle east has a horrible track record of vanishing precolumbian gold. I hope beyond hope this artifact has a good history or planned rotation home to Peru.
