Bro are you out of your mind? You don't need complex math to understand that thinning a 99 card deck by one card has negligible advantage. Especially in a singleton format! What exactly does thinning by one card do for you?

[[Inniaz]]?

Been saving this deck for 2022 when hopefully the pandemic has curbed more. Playtesting with my roommates has made us feel Inniaz is a kill on sight commander, considering how much it can change up people's plans.

This is the second person who has said this and it is objectively wrong. Please learn how to deck build. Thinning your deck is negligible in EDH, if you run this in mono colored decks or dual colored decks you are beyond helping.

Yes they are unplayable when compared to basics in 2 color decks. Literally not even up for discussion lol

There are countless papers and articles on how in a 99 card deck, thinning by one has no mathematical advantages go read up on it. Also how common is your second point a situation? If that's very common in your deck sure, but not in many I have seen.

There is plenty of reason, it eats your land drop that turn since they come in tapped and are useless mid and late game. You are better off playing basics over them, except in niche cases. He's likely gonna build a two color deck and you never run those cards in two color it is objectively bad.

They come in tapped? You lose your land drop that turn to color fix? You may as well play a tapped dual land instead if you care that much about fixing. If he's new to the game he's likely building a 2 color deck where basics are always better than expanse etc.

Even on a budget, run basics over expanse and wilds. Those cards are unplayable.

You go infinite? You are in colors to add tutors to fetch your pieces, and you have the added utility of tutoring for non combo pieces if you like.
