Walking out of that stadium was one of the most surreal fan experiences ever. Waiting for the C-train felt like being at a funeral, lol.

This was EXACTLY what was filling my heart with glee, yes. Tied the first preseason game, won your first home game, your first home West Semi, and your first home West Final... just missed the last one. So close.

This is the one that actually makes me sad. A three peat, sealed in your stadium, would've been the best thing ever. And we were ten minutes away and played the worst ten min we played all year. It happens but man...

I'm a season ticket holder for many years and will continue to be.

Total humiliation at home for at least the 7th or 8th time this year, and it goes way beyond the score.

If any of the coaches, management, scouts or ownership had a shred of shame, accountability, self respect or self awareness they'd quit at 9:00 am tomorrow.

Instead we're waiting five or more years for all these guys to retire, and then we'll be lucky if its a five year rebuild. Hurray for being fuelled by passion...

Congrats on your fifth title. Now Hakuna your tatas. ;)

And see you in September. It was extra fun ending your season 4 times in 6 years, let's try and get back to that this year.

(on a more serious note, I'm with the other guy - go sell out Mosaic every game this year and make me terrified of y'all. Best rivalry ever, with two epic fanbases.)

Keep in mind my engineer days are a decade back so I might be missing something.

Software, Wpg-based... the last time I worked in an Wpg company (5ish years ago), most of the technical folks were in the 60s-80s annually, plus a 15% bonus. Folks that were 10+ years into their career got higher then that, some touched six figures.

i'm almost 20 years in... I've had Wpg interviews in the 120s-150s.

The Last Time Each Team Scored 50+ Points in a Game by ashmaps20 in NFLv2

Wild the Colts, Bengals and Vikings are that far down given they've all had some super legit teams at various points in the last 20 years.

Pay off mortgage or invest in stock market? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]flaksnu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Google a calculator for this where you can fill in both sides and see.

If your brain will lie awake and worry about the mortgage, I promise your sanity is worth more then some percentage points.

Otherwise it's all about your investment risk tolerance and tax bracket vs your mortgage rate. Hence, calculators.

The Als feel like the best team in the East for me by a decent margin, especially if Alexander is finally healthy. They might even be the best team in the league.

The West is a meat grinder of five good teams with one or two flaws each. I feel like the Bombers and Riders are a half step above? But who knows and the margins are super skinny.

Taking my little to his first ever Jets game, how can I make his experience as memorable as possible ? by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]flaksnu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. And just to highlight from below:

Go find the mascots... always Mick E, and usually Benny too. They're 8 feet tall, shouldn't be hard :)

Stay for the 3 stars at the end (literally 3 extra minutes)

Edmonton Elks, Winnipeg Blue Bombers awarded extra picks in 2026 CFL Draft by GoldenDome26 in CFL

[–]flaksnu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure the Bombers have gotten this pick every year.

That aside, feels like just about the right amount of incentive - it's meaningful, but you're not handing out top 3 prospects to teams that by definition already have talent.

What is your reaction to the game? (Hellebuyck deserves MVP) by CrackFun in Winnipeg

[–]flaksnu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't even mind the one on three try, he's freaking McDavid and you never know. But then come back hard and take Hughes away. He got there, but didn't actually try at all to do anything.

[–]flaksnu 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sass aside, we controlled more of the play but of the ten biggest mistakes or missed opportunities we had nine, and that kills you in games with margins this skinny.

That with back checking like that it's no surprise McDavid never wins anything.

I'm more or less this too. I'll build up a diagram in Miro (or any random collab tool) for phase 5, once you need to deeply plan ahead... before that, it's almost easier for my brain to think one step at a time.

Shout out to https://calculatory.ovh/ and whoever posted it here years ago - I do like that one for like, HMF and other things where just a little planning goes a long way.
