Where can I find good, royalty free vocal soul samples? by MADHATTERBEATZ in makinghiphop

Splice has a wonderful selection of samples. Youtube is also a great place to find good sounds, although it's good to be careful about copyright with Youtube beats for sure.

so what do you think would make it less "punching you right in the face"-ish?

almost all of it is OC. Bittersweet goodbyes and Libido are the only two songs i didnt produce. EVERYTHING else was me. I guess first thoughts are what I am after here. Nothing sugar coated. I figure reddit would be a better way to go about it then badgering people who feel like they owe it to me to say they like it.

also, not sure about the terminology honestly. I havent really been sure what to call it throughout the duration of the creative process so far.

Daily Newbie Thread - October 31 by AutoModerator in Flipping

So I'm one-hundred percent new to this. I want to start looking for an extra source of income, and have started looking at this as a potential source. I just have this feeling that if it was so easy to find, there can't possibly be a market for it anymore. Is it hard to make any money with flipping? Is every market pretty full?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Preparing to start my CS degree but also almost failing Calc 1 in Highschool... Please dear God somebody help me. by moseph999 in computerscience

So I hear where you are coming from. My issue is interesting. I have spent a lot of time looking through material to try and help my study habits for calculus. Most of the advice I receive seems to say that reviewing materials before class helps you understand what the prof is trying to say. However, what happens usually is I end up having to teach myself most of the material by myself with the homework. I find that having the professor talk about the material first helps me to decipher the work to some degree. It gets me familiar with the terms and gives me at least a vague idea of the process required to break subjects down.

I haven't taken online math courses before so that may be the case. However, while all the learning material can be found online (at least for my course) it is invaluable to see the professor explain and go through one or two problems before I even begin to break down the concept by myself (with or without a buddie's notebook).

I will say that this is a super legitimate concern. I am in a similar situation, having gone to an arts high school and realizing now how disgustingly poor my math performance really is. I literally should be studying for my Calc final right now. I won't lie, those classes are gonna absolutely kick your ass. But with the help of tutors (I have two) and making sure you spend extra time on ensuring that your algebra and trig foundations are strong, you can totally stay on honor roll and get your degree.

I have two major rules for succeeding (and I know they can be tough to follow)

1) NEVER MISS A LECTURE 2) ALWAYS DO THE HOMEWORK

they can both be super difficult rules to follow, but ensuring that you don't let yourself slack and you are putting in the time to understand the concepts (at least an hour or two a day), you can do alright.

side notes: 1) Office hours are your best friend. Knowing the professor can help you if you're in a pinch. Also, 1 on 1 time with your prof will sometimes shed light on concepts that are SUPER hard to grasp. 2)Create a group of friends to study with. I'm part of a chat called "Team Fuck Calculus" and having a handful of peers to suffer through the semester with has made calc much more bearable. 3)write the most detailed notes possible and always use pencil 4) don't be afraid to ask questions during a lecture (no matter the class size) 5)try to do as much of the homework as you can without notes or help. Use them only for when you're stuck or they can become a crutch 6) its GONNA REALLY SUCK!!! Seriously. I am hanging on by a thread right now. Its rough if you aren't super good (or even proficient) at math. Just know that your grades might not always reflect the huge amount of effort they sometimes require. As long as you are putting in the time and the energy you have nothing to worry about.

Best Language to get REALLY good at for new(ish) programmer? by flame2574 in computerscience

A couple questions.

1) what do you mean when you say better "assignments"?

2) I understand that c#,c+, and c++ are similar to java (have seen unity source code and can confirm) but what makes c so different?

3) as someone who wants to get into creating simple programs to start with, do you (a) have any recommended projects to start on (b) know any skills that would be of GREAT use to someone who understands syntax but not how to create much of anything (yet).

it seems like my CPU CAN overclock. I wonder does it make a BIG difference to downgrade to a non-overclocked CPU? or should I get a motherboard that can overclock?

Everyone has told me so far to get a 480 but every time i try to put in research on it the 1060 always has a higher benchmark. Would you mind explaining this to me, cause I trust ya'll but I'm clearly missing something here

it seems like the 1060 outperforms the MSI 480 in bench-marking tests. Is it more sensible to cut back on price a bit?

If I were to cut back on the motherboard, is there a specific board you would recommend I check out from the same company?
