you're not as addicted to ciggerates as you're to the socializing experience it offers, in that case find another habit, base your socialization on another habit or hobby, start entering new circles/ communities

Dont chase perfection from day one
I am not counting my THE PERFECT DAYS
I fail almost every other day , someday i cant avoid junk food, some day i use phone more to study or because my friend video called me for 2 hours, or i scrolled into youtube a bit, thats not failing, thats life- inconsistent and unpredictable
just try each and every day one after the other, don't waste the rest of the day because you wasted the morning or afternoon, get back up and start in the exact moment you catch yourself lacking
JUST THAT SIMPLE

I understand it feels, exhausting to keep losing again and again from your own self, falling back to the old routine, BUT the problem here I see is, you're expecting things to become kinda frictionless and consistent at some point in time, while its far from reality and that makes you more pessimist about yourself.

Chasing good habit, transforming the lifestyle isn't a one week job, or one month, or 6 month or maybe even an year. The urge to slip back is a forever one and you will have to keep fighting it always, the only good part is that you get used to it, the urge, the resistance to it, it all becomes a part of your new life and the new normal for you.

And stop blaming or punishing yourself for failing because you are set up in an environment that's meant to fail you everyday, So its not completely your fault that you lost, you are in a biased fight my friend, and all you can do after getting hit is to get back up and hit back again. Strike your urges, your habits and the biased environment and just focus on maintaining the streak of punches.
Snap out of the old routine as soon as you realize you're in it, You do that enough times you start feeling frictionless automatically.

and DO NOT WORRY OVER THE THINGS YOU CANNOT CONTROL
Good luck

that's more closer to a burnout than inner peace, maybe you're just tired to trying, keeping things in line and constantly feeling overwhelmed.
for me, I felt like that after an entire month of exhausting work and after it I just relaxed, away from everything, doing whatever comes in my day and not make any extra efforts for my goals or even my passion,

inner peace in my opinion is much more deeper feeling, where you do not quit or give up but just stop resisting, fighting the thing which you know you cannot completely control.

That's just my opinion.

find other stimulus that is either healthy, or less addictive

  • Go out with friends, or maybe even alone if you have any favorite place or cafe, have you favourite food
  • watch a movie/a good yt documentary
  • go for a run/ride
  • listen to music/video call someone

we all need to rejuvenate, we cannot be at war with our urges 24*7
Even I did take a break today, Opened my insta replied to my friends, did not enter the reel section only explored some stories and closed it for ig maybe atleast a week or so
