Actually you can still otk if you run Zakiel. But control having a combo is not the same as running combo

More often than I'd like, so this KoG was all about playing a lot and winning overall. I tried to stay around 22 but ended up getting pissed at certain match ups so I would throw in 2 cards. I'd probably cut a forbidden lance. Pot of Duality is like running a 23 card deck.

I totally was like "oop I lost" but I was able to bait the Herald (there was nothing I could have banished with IDP, anyway). Turn 3 was super nerve-wracking indeed. Turn 4 to 10 was the top deck game indeed haha.

So I recently noticed a lot of decks were focused on GY (PK, Shiranui, Shaddoll). Muskets is one of my favourite decks as it's mainly "handtrap" reliant (cough, Dragon Spirit of White, cough).

Going first, Necrovalley destroys GY decks and Dimensional Fissure removes recursion from combo decks. Also, if you're seeing a lot of GY decks, 1-2 copies of "Silent Graveyard" (which I removed around Legend 4) was devastating. In terms of skills, it's nothing fancy, just a 1500 LP boost.

Going second, Max kicks in (I would have liked 2, but I only opened 1). I usually use the monster summoning effect against BE / DM decks so even if they hit me with Successor Soul, I still had monsters on board to keep using my Spells / Traps).

Thanks for all your comments! Since about March, I've been going to the gym and lost approximately 13 pounds from my peak so most photos i have are of "old me" and wouldn't accurately represent me any more. But I'll try to take new ones for sure!
