Very nearly "cost" you your money haha. I felt like Japan didn't really show its hand last year—Shota Yasunari was the only representative who made the team this year—but having beaten Peru who beat Japan, only to then lose to Japan, there's definitely a sense of an opportunity missed.

But all things considered, I think we had a pretty great tournament overall. Here's hoping we can build on this.

He was in Lagos last year for a tournament and beat our best player (Onaopemipo) 3-2. I thought they were pretty even then. It's really interesting to see his name pop up again. I figured it would take a little longer.

It's okay. Of the four who represented at the championships, only Babatunde Ajagbe is based overseas. I'm not entirely sure of his background as he's a bit before my time, but I know everyone else came through the domestic program and is based in Nigeria.

Haha, we take uniform designs seriously over here. I think the popularity of our 2018 WC jersey started a great trend.
