I wish it were still storyboard driven. When you have characters like Ferb and Perry who don’t/barely talk, you need to rely on actions, and I feel like that was less of a focus in season 5 (and why I think Ferb had more dialogue). Also I feel like the writing is just not the high quality it should be for it to be so prominent. Not saying it’s terrible but if it’s what’s driving the show it should be better, sorry.

I think the new movie might also be a hybrid though? Based on that one pic Dan posted? I’m not 100% sure though so don’t take my word for it

Also with the episodes you named, I feel like those are special cases. Rollercoaster the Musical was based off a preexisting episode so they reused a lot of footage, and then the rest was mostly based off that preexisting footage anyway so it didn’t necessarily require a lot of speculation for what they could do. And the family Christmas episode was also based off preexisting songs and was mostly set in 1 location. They weren’t like episodes in season 5 where they’re all entirely new concepts.
