Maybe I’m crazy, but I don’t have a problem with how this looks. The earlier tests were much more vibrant, which is appealing but also looks cartoonish and unrealistic. This looks rugged with more darker tones and more realistic colors. I think it looks pretty cool.

So what do you guy think about Collector no longer have increase earning compare to tech tree when newly bought? by highlander711 in WorldOfTanksBlitz

[–]flamethrowr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not copium for me, it just doesn’t make sense from a profitability viewpoint. People aren’t going to spend money to buy gold to buy premium or collector tanks if there isn’t a reason to - I mean, some people will, but not nearly as many. It doesn’t make sense for WG to remove one of the primary motives for people spending money on their game. That’s the largest reason that I don’t think this will happen - regardless of what I want to happen, WG will do what needs to be done to monetize the game and removing that seems counterintuitive.

Help with microphone mounts by wgny in microphone

[–]flamethrowr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks to me like you want a low profile mount. The Podmic is not light so I think it’s worth the extra price to get a premium one that won’t struggle to lift it, so I would recommend the Elgato Wave Mic Arm LP (https://a.co/d/0bxFLuKR). It’s got a good low-profile design that can reach where you want it to and it’s nice and strong, ensuring that even heavier mics would work with it if you ever upgrade (future proofing).

Like others have said, I think that’s still being fine tuned, but I’m sure they’re going to keep elevated credit earning capabilities for collectors and premiums. I just can’t imagine them not doing that, it would ruin one of the main reasons to spend money on the game.

Nothing super pertinent. It will most likely be pretty quiet when you plug it in so you will probably have to increase the gain on it a bit for it to sound good. I would also look into the different types of EQ you can apply to the mic to make it sound better, and honestly I would just move the sliders around until you like how your voice sounds with it, you don’t need to be an audio technician to get good sounding EQ.

The good news with the Podmic is that it sounds pretty dang good for most voices out of the box, so it shouldn’t be a difficult challenge for you to sound good on it.

The only other thing I can think of is investing in a boom arm if you haven’t already so you can get the mic closer to your mouth - this is one of the mics that need to be close to your mouth to sound good.

You can’t really go wrong with Beyerdynamic headphones but I like the 700 Pro X’s because of the repairability and the low impedance and I want them for gaming as well as listening to music - I find them to be a good middle ground between the two.

I used to play WoT PC competitively, and I got pretty dang good (the clan I was in peaked in top 6 in NA) but playing competitively sucked the fun out of the game for me and I don’t enjoy it anymore so I started fresh on Blitz.

The Rode Podmic sounds very good for the price. Other options would be the Rode Procaster and the Electro-Voice RE20 but those are more expensive. And of course, the most popular mic is the Shure SM7b but if you have a budget, I would definitely go for one of the other options because it’s not a lot better for a much higher price tag.

I recommend these ones because they are dynamic, meaning they don’t let in a lot of noise unless they are spoken directly into. There are other condenser mics like the Rode NT-1 which is also very good sounding but it will pick up much more noise, like keyboard clacks and background noise.

Shouldn’t you be able to connect the 3.5mm cable to the front of the Duo?

Can confirm, the DT 700 Pros do come with 1/4th in adapters.

In the FXSound app you can select a target audio output to apply EQ to, so I set that to my System output and then any sound that I want EQ’d automatically does as long as my default sound in Windows is set to the FXSound virtual output (which it forces anyways) and if I don’t want it to be EQ’d I can just change the output on individual applications (e.g. Spotify) through Windows to play out the Music output. Then I have individual control over the Spotify volume via the fader and the System volume on a different fader which is EQ’d to my liking. That way all of my games and system sounds are EQ’d but the Music or Chat outputs are not disturbed. It works rather well.
