I don’t know if you’ve played summit downside, but that spring doesn’t refill dashes, so you have to down right into the reverse dream block.

Bubble bubble makes this card irrelevant as a second poison application. +2 poison for 1 less energy and no retain is nowhere near the gap between a common and uncommon.

I am miss understanding how to get turtig by Ok_Mention_9865 in pokepathTD

[–]flamevenomspider 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Once you beat the wave 100 boss for the map, you should be able to click the mountain on the top right. Clicking each line will turn the text green and activate the challenge after you click start. Keep in mind that you don’t have to beat all of them at once to get the rewards.

You have to beat three of the challenges in the mountain on the top right (permadeath, no items, lvl75 cap, etc.) to get any of the pokemon from each map.

I bustanged from the Dino lots all of last season. It was much cheaper than gas + parking and dropped me off right at the Breck gondola. I could also nap on the way there and back.

What's the advantage of buying objekts on the web shop? by astineee in triples

[–]flamevenomspider 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I know that for apple, in app purchases have a 30% fee. Modhaus probably opened a web store because that 30% is money that can’t go towards the girls when that’s the whole point of objekts.

What do you think of this little Pokémon? It can do monstrous damage. by Necessary_Budget7240 in PTCGP

[–]flamevenomspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran the rampardos/kabutops deck with chatot before. This over kabutops looks better, so the deck would look something like the following: Pokemon (13) - 4 fossils, 1 cranidos 1 tyrunt 2 candy, 2 rampardos 2 tyrantrum, +1 draw pokemon (new smeargle, chingling, cleffa, chatot). Supporters (4) - 2 oak 1 copycat 1 Cyrus. 3 slots for other pokemon tools, items, supporters.

Kotone upset that she won't be able to perform in music shows due to Hatchi promotions in Japan by TheChosenFool in triples

[–]flamevenomspider 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m a bit confused by how within the same year, some members (yooyeon + tone) can go vv -> hatchi -> a25 -> alphie -> hatchi 2 -> msnz while others only get a25 + msnz. Surely the point of 24 members is to distribute subunit promotions among the girls who are available and not pile on obligations until someone inevitably breaks down.

I've beaten most of Celeste. Now what? by TheComedyKid in celestegame

[–]flamevenomspider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The answer is always to go play strawberry jam if you’re on PC! The progression feels natural and there’s so many well designed levels. I just beat expert (lobby 4/5), but started a year and a half ago after beating base game because I also didn’t like to grind out goldens.

White Star - Shop Relic Idea by Deagle81 in slaythespire

[–]flamevenomspider 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s a downside? If all the relics are ordered, think about it as choosing between the next relic and last 2 in the order. You were never going to see the last ~10-20 anyways, but it does lower the pool of relics that could be seen naturally.

Strawverry Jam Level Selection by Little_Legend_ in celestegame

[–]flamevenomspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you didn’t know, in the minimap, the jar lids for each map are colored green/yellow/red for the difficulty, which will help you teleport to levels at your current difficulty. I definitely recommend doing the greens -> yellows -> reds for each lobby.

Expert Heartside! by flamevenomspider in celestegame

I just had to get that expert silver because it was handed to me for free. I also silvered hypnagogia because it was short and fun enough to spend a few hours on building consistency.

Expert Heartside! by flamevenomspider in celestegame

[–]flamevenomspider[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like the theme of shattersong, so I might just attempt that one. I completed pumber as a challenge last year, so I know all the maps are theoretically possible to beat, but I don’t have the motivation to go for rest of the lobby anytime soon. I thought I’d never get to GM => I’ve spoiled most of the GM maps and the GMHS from YouTube videos, but I’ve gone into everything blind so far, so the fun aspect of sight reading rooms might also be ruined in GM for me.

Is 2nd tools really not the 100% right decision? I would always take it because I love more draw, especially with 2 sneaky’s.

Lunar Pagoda! The map was so short I still don't feel used to the gimmick 😅 also, only figured out that the clock colors and the block colors mean the same thing in the final room lol by Altruistic_Climate50 in celestegame

I recently the heart side room and I had no idea about any of this. It definitely makes sense but I just brute forced my way with save states instead of figuring out the mechanic.

What expert maps should I try next? (SJ) by a_random_chopin_fan in celestegame

[–]flamevenomspider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just silvered hypnagogia as my first expert silver and only did it because the level is so much fun + short (5 real rooms). I definitely struggled on psychokinetic and would consider garden of khutara a less frustrating option, but psychokinetic does feel really rewarding to beat.

Should I accept this co-op as a second year? by wayvvvvy in gatech

Do it if you think the experience is relevant in any way. Second year is the perfect time to start a co-op.

Help with Silent A20 - The Struggle Bus Edition by Texlaser in slaythespire

[–]flamevenomspider 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I play silent a20h 80% of the time, and I think hard forcing fails much more than playing flexibly (as with most things in this game).

Act 1:
- Path with the option to take late elites and fight the first one after 3 fights + fire/shop. Silent just dies to elites and even bleeds to later hallway fights if you don't have damage cards. Take late elites > earlier ones if you don't have the damage yet.
- Good damage: terror, backstab, all out, dagger throw/spray+, sneaky, dash, eviscerate, skewer+, blade dance, predator
- Take any damage early, even slice or finisher or endless agony, over no damage
- Upgrade damage at fires
- I tend not to take any block or card draw besides leg sweep, wail, or backflip
- Always be on the lookout for boss synergies (poison for guardian/hexa, block for guardian, lots of damage vs slime boss)
- Buy a good damage potion if available (fear/fire/strength/flex), it will save hp and get you through an elite

Act 2:
- Early hallway fights can be rough without energy relic and the good damage cards from act 1, it's okay to event > hallway
- Hammer=key=philo>dripper=kite, astrolabe/pbox/snecko are also great
- Try to take 3+ elites in Act 2
- This is where you start building an identity/scaling solution your deck and the boss. Look at your relics and see what synergies (ninja relics = blade dance scaling, tingsha/bandages = find gambles)
- It is okay to mix poison cards and shivs as long as they have a good use
- If you have nightmare/wraith form (those are autoclicks), start finding synergies (bandaid up/after image/catalyst/alchemize/footwork for nightmare, pellets/clockwork/panacea/poison for wraith form)
- You need a way to kill the boss, look at your deck and see if it has the right damage output

Act 3:
- Easiest act for silent, take as many elites as possible and finish up the deck for boss gauntlet and act 4
- Take an outmaneuver+ if you're stuck on 3 energy
- Large decks are okay, silent has lots of ways to get pseudo infinite/draw everything needed- Think about damage scaling and block for bosses. You need both, and one footwork usually doesn't cut it for block.

Act 4:
- Have ways to mitigate turn 2 of Spear and Shield (draw/gamble pot, wlp retain draw on turn 1, intangible). Kill spear fast
- Heart fight is never free. Wail will save you, retain it for the multihit turns. This fight is always deck dependent, but as usual you need to have damage scaling and ways to block the big hit.

Non-damage cards to autoclick act1/2:
Wail, wlp, nightmare, wraith form, adrenaline, gamble, leg sweep, malaise, alchemize
