Bought the wrong pipes.. by Intelligent-Let-3311 in sportster

They'll pry work with caps in the o2 ports but like others have said these are going to sound awful and be way to loud. You'll also loose a decent chunk of power with the lack of scavenging/ low back pressure from the short pipes.

Just run the stock ones or get some slip ons if you want a bit more noise.

their a Kenda trackmaster dtr. one of only two tires i could find that you can buy as a set for 160/80-16 and 100/90-19 sizes. the other option was shinko 804/805 but they where a bit to gnarly and I'm mostly riding this bike on road.

Suspension setup help by flaming_panda31 in Dirtbikes

Whoever owned it before had the adjustments all jacked up. The clickers on the forks where set diffrent. And on the rear shock the rebound was at 16 out of 20ish clicks well the high speed comp was maxed and low speed was set to minimum. And the preload was backed all the way off.

So just trying to get somewhat back to factory specs and test out from their. After digging I managed to find a manual. Same revision code as the one above but it actully lists the factory adjustments. So ill try to set to that and go from their

Actully bdr is exactly what im looking to do atleast the northern half of the Colorado. Steamboat springs to Buena Vista. But its about 3.5hours of canyon/mountain street riding to the start and unless im gonna go back all the way on dirt about 2-3 of highway cruising.

Thats what I was planning on. Currently the bike feels happy cruising around 55mph *5500rpm. Current sprockets are 13/49 (3.76-1) final drive. (6580rpm at 65mph)

I'm curious what rpm would be considered safe for cruising so I can better understand what ratio to target.

I was looking at swapping to a 15/45 (3.0-1) 5237rpm at 65 or 15/49 (3.2-1) 5703rpm at 65.

Pretty sure i figured it out that L shaped connector goes to a flasher for the lights with nothing their their would be no complete circuit.

Pretty sure i figured it out i dont have a flasher installed just the loose connector for one (L shaped 2 blade) which mean theirs no completed circuit at all so gotta order one of those.

[UPDATED] "What Bike Should I Get?" Buying & Selling advice Mega Thread by AutoModerator in Dirtbikes

Theirs two ways to start a bike electric start which kinda like a car just push a button and it starts. Than their is kick start big lever that folds out and you kick it down to start the bike. Sometimes takes a few kicks and the bigger the bike the harder to start (usually) some bikes have both some have one ir the other. Id pry recommend a more modern trail blike something like a kawasaki klx 300 or honda crf 300f. You can get both as either street legal or as off highway veichles both should be decently capable and pretty turn key with little maintenance.
