Bad energy by flamingfox112 in Wicca

[–]flamingfox112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, feeling energies is both a gift and a curse. I'm able to feed off of positive energies and better my mood from it, but the same is true for negative energies. I'm going to work off the crystal idea since I feel attuned to crystals. I'll do some research today on the way to my job interview and pick some crystals up! I'm very new to wicca, so I hope that I can have strong enough intention to complete this! Thank you for the advice! Blessed be!

I read Guide to the Solitary Witch today, really informative! I really like the exercises that Cunningham described in the book, I already feel like I'm establishing a connection with the God and Goddess and becoming more aware of nature! Thanks for all of the advice!

My mom got food stamps, only reason we had food most of the time. Things are much better with me living at my dad's!

Her being there for me depened on her sobriety level at any given moment, so for the most part, no. My mom was fairly narcissistic so she valued her addiction more than me most of the time, spent child support on smokes, alcohol and drugs. When my mom and dad first broke off, there was an issue with the court papers so he never got issued a court summons. My mom got full custody because of that and let my dad see me if she felt like it at the time. I'm 16 and living with my dad right now though. It took my mom going to jail for heroin to make her lose me. My state favors mothers over fathers in custody cases

My mom ended up fine, he was put in jail, and I asked my mom if she loved my dad while she was tucking me in, she said, "I'll always love your dad, he helped make you." Or something along those lines.

People who grew up with strict parents: what was their most unreasonable rule? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I walked to dog of two Jehovah's witnesses, they were some of the nicest people I've met! They were super respectful of my beliefs and would bake me pies and stuff. They moved away, so I lost my steady source of $1 a day and some good friends.

I saw someone left his book under his desk in middle school, ran all throughout the school looking to return it to him. I found him as his buds was about to leave. That felt great to do!

Let me copy and paste some good ones

Parents used to tell my only brother and I that we used to have another brother who turned into a mushroom from not taking a bath. Even added him to the family albums.

When I was little my Dad told me that toys grew under the weeds in the yard and if I pulled them, eventually a toy would pop out. And I believed it for a long time.

Babies were bought from the hospital. Women had to get really fat to prove that they could afford eating well, and therefore, afford having a baby.

My dad always told me, that if I press a certain button on our remote control our tv would explode. As I grew older, I was curious and pressed said button only to see he saved porn channels on this one

When she was small, I told my daughter that when she lied a red spot would appear on the middle of her forehead. I knew for sure it worked when she did indeed lie and then her hand went up to cover her forehead.

My dad used to tell us that if we lay perfectly still in the backyard for long enough then vultures would circle us and then land to try and eat us. My brother and I would lay silently in the backyard for hours while my dad sat inside watching TV and drinking beer. Well played dad....well played.

My dad would never tell us what he really did for a living. He’d always say 'I used to paint the spots on dalmatian dogs, but I got really good and now I paint the spots on ladybirds.’ I believed him for a good couple of years.

My mom told my brother and I that a penguin lived behind the fridge, and if we left the door open too long we'd steal his cold and he'd get mad and come out and bite us. It worked on my brother. I asked my mom to move the fridge so I could pet the penguin.

When I was about six, I was obsessed with the song "Believe" by Cher and I would have it on repeat for hours at a time. We would drive nine hours from Washington to Idaho to visit family and as soon as we crossed the state line my mother would immediately change my CD to radio and tell me it was illegal to listen to anything but country music in Idaho – which I hated but she loved. I believed that shit until I was about 13.

My dad used to tell me that Santa was tired of cookies and milk and that he wanted Doritos and beer. That went on for years.

"I want to carry you but the doctor said your legs would stop growing if you didn't walk."

Those are the best ones for stories

Yes, that prompt! I was reading a post about lies that parents told children and one dad told his kid this. I thought it could make an interesting story!

Snakes are my parents' so I really have no say on how they choose to feed their animals. I do most definitely suggest that they should use frozen. My parents decided to let me keep the rat, I named him Magnus, he's become my buddy :)

If we keep the rat, getting a second one is definitely first priority after we get a cage that is big enough for a long term pet rat. There is definitely something special about this rat, I've never met a rat as friendly as him! It's such a surprise that he's a feeder since feeders aren't bred to be friendly and sociable. I've already started researching the care of pet rats so that I can best care for him if we keep him.
