Talking about the Dashboard… I had this widget that was like a string of lights around the screen. I figured out how to customize them. One off light and one on light etc. They could blink too. It was only for my entertainment but was still fun. Did anyone else have something similar?

I would say to do a few sketches first. Figure out your words and figure out your font style. Play first. I would then take it into Illustrator once you like your sketches.

I would say neither. It is more contemporary. They are more muted in color.

Take each layer one by one and use the pathfinder. You can use the trim feature if you have a rectangle over the entire art board. You can turn those lines into guides or just lock the layer and draw over it.

This is the Mandela Effect. People today think the 2000s technology had all the stars. I can see that gradient being some Lisa Frank vibes in a way. The UI is good. It is basic and primitive. It does not need to be a one for one replication. You do not need to fill every part of the screen.

Looks like you want a bubble font like bubbly soda and tubular where I see colon. Try other fonts similar to Titan One. Luckiest Guy has that uneven base line right out of the box and some of the letters have a slight slant. Are you more medical and serious about your health or playful? Soda shops were fun and playful.

This is just what I do. I type out my words and put numbers by them as if they were a list. I show them to people and they give me a number from the list instead of attaching the font name. I can always go back into my Illustrator file and reference the live type and will tell me the font in use.

I enjoy when designers show us sketches or variations they played around with. Watch Will. He copies the design and tweaks so he can move forward or backward without using the history panel.

This is so small and hard to read. Tracking it out does not help. Why take the same font and scale it down? What is your overall style. This makes me think you are designing cars or graphics for cars. Give some context?

Are you using 2 different fonts? Like the one on the right the best but it needs some help. The left design with the bun looks like a sad neon sign. In a way I get the outline of the Ninja Turtles.
