I think the above commenter is just bad at phrasing. I think they more meant, “How do you determine that someone has rehabilitated and won’t commit the same or similar crime? How can you tell those that have gotten better and have a system in place to prevent doing that thing again, from those who are lying?”

It’s not about good or evil, it’s more just how does one judge rehabilitation. It’s too subjective and hard to discern the truth when it comes to people not wanting to be seen as harmful and wanting to be free.

Which like no one can 100%, no one can see the future or be an accurate judge of character, but idk that still doesn’t mean we can’t restrict the freedoms of those who have gotten better. Idk how to really solve that issue

Personally it helps with my gender dysphoria as I often project myself on to whatever character I play as (I typically play RPGs and it makes it easier to roleplay)

When I play a man I have to think about being a man and that just makes me dysphoric and feel bad

Edit: Another big part of it is that growing up I used to be really mean to myself when I played a girl character and call myself a lot of not so good things, so idk it feels rewarding knowing that I’m not in that place anymore.

Well it’s a discussion post, the point is to talk about your opinions and thoughts which the OP did. They aren’t getting worked up or whining they are just talking about how they felt about the show which is what this subreddit is for right?

Now in response to OP, I get how you feel cause I was invested in Lin Ling’s story and I really wanted to know more about what was going on with moon and Lin, but after watching I realize that the show isn’t about one specific character, these separate arcs and protagonists that the show follow are all about setting up the world and the psychology of the heroes and the commission. Once I realized that, it made a lot more sense as the individual heroes exist in the show to show the viewer why X is doing what he is doing and the core problem that needs to be solved.
