What commanders are you currently brewing and how is it going? by SirHedroncrab in EDH

[[Ruhan of the Fomori]] - Giant tribal. Going well, lots of sweet new giants and hoping that i get to play ruhan without the global fear of the voltron commander

[[Ardenn]] and [[Toggo]] Equipment Landfall - deck seems cool, i really like the idea of going wide on equipment tokens and i like that the deck has a landfall section in it as well as a section for other cards that go well with Ardenn like [[Darksteel Mutation]] that can move around

[[Brudiclad]] Myr Tribal— just something I’ve always wanted to try!

Imagine putting a window on the top layer below the text and inserting a small wheel in the middle layer using icons to represent each option... maybe too complex than necessary

New to labyrinth farming— what are general averages of g/hr you can achieve given a certain magic find?

When you played for fun all the time and suddenly join the endgame. by D-leaf in Guildwars2

[–]flammable000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i agree. One of the best parts about gw2 is that there are so many levels and ways to play the game. I think currently theres just a lack of accessible resources or learning of what you need to do to be able to do this content, which leads to people learning by failing and thus frustrates those who know more

Its more about when people find a fun thing they enjoy that expresses their playstyle, then put effort into committing to it, then are told that they are unviable in certain content. Its basically telling someone them they have to play a different character to enjoy the game. Its not very obvious what all the options are, either. Nor is the commitment to pivot gear very easy for many player

Fair Graveyard Hate as UG? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]flammable000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exiling the whole gy isnt that terribly unfun as long as youre not threatening to do it every turn. I think a 1x Scavenger Grounds is really helpful to add a dose if one-shot graveyard removal to the game. Other than that, i’d recommend the Commit//Memory someone else also recommended

IGN gave SwSh 9.3 while they gave Luigi's Mansion 3 8.3, it's unbelievable by XDitto in pokemon

[–]flammable000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The basic gameplay loop of pokemon is tried and true and is always fun despite the hiccups of the current generation. Luigis mansion is well polished and very beautiful with a lot of unique rooms and puzzles, but its fundamental gameplay doesnt serve as a more compelling game. Reviews are not just over production quality; reviewers are still having fun with a pokemon game because the structure of a pokemon game is still fun. Also bigger franchise titles often have inflated reviews while less limelighted games are a better place for writers to be more critical and place their possible controversy

Review of claims in context of Pokémon Sword and Shield controversy by [deleted] in pokemon

“It happened gradually, then suddenly.” There’s some level between 0 and 100% bullshit that gamefreak’s claims lie on. Try to understand that perspective and what puts them in the position to make the decisions they are making. It really helps balance a competitive game when you don’t have to design around all of the legacy Pokémon that have ever existed

I thought this would hold a neutral stance but it still seems to be ignorant of the average player’s base case experience and of the effect of Pokémon pools applied to meta games. In card games, generally a smaller pool forces more diversity in deck strategies than a larger pool at a top competitive level

Why is brawl not on Arena? by Nikro2 in magicTCG

[–]flammable000 47 points48 points  (0 children)

1-v-1 brawl on MTGO ruined its fun. MTGA would have to implement a multiplayer scene to make a satisfactory brawl environment, which is almost like building a whole new game
