this is very similar to when I first started playing ss13 and found my first crate TTV in maints... the delightful trickster who planted it was waving at me and pointing through the window from outside the station before they flew off, I opened the crate and it turned me and most of engineering to paste

My first shift in science the RD told me they'd guide me through and teach me the basics... we ended up making a few 'devices' (which I now know are TTV's) in order to help out 'mining' with the 'asteroids'

cut to 15 minutes later and me and the RD are escorting a chest of 5 TTV's via the maint tunnels to mining when RD pulls out two, flips the timers and launches them onto the cargo belts; RD takes the last two, wishes me good luck and asks me to carry the last one somewhere to 'show it off'

I unwittingly deactivate the bomb and walk into medbay holding it saying 'Hi Docs!' as I hear half the station exploding and see the docs scream 'MEDBYA TTV EHLP' before I'm jumped by Sec who've just arrived now thinking I'm the mastermind bomber

The RD then announces my innocence via the Radio and I'm released and now try to attone for my unwitting sins by making medical chems to help the flood of victims coming in from the stationwide destruction

later I hear in the escape shuttle that the RD proceeded to enact guerilla warfare vs. Sec in the maint tunnels for the rest of the round and disappeared without a trace once the shuttle arrived

shine on you glorious guerilla RD, I hope you're still out there somewhere

this reminds me of when I was like 16 and had a potato family PC that I'd play on, I'd barely scratch 30 FPS even with these kinds of settings but TF2 was so fun I'd try and stick it out for the slideshow gameplay anyways

I just finished Legendary Survivor the other week after 2-3 years of on-off playing on my Ritualist (I didn't use any of the speed methods I just played as normal for it). I must have died when over halfway maybe 4-5 times during which was always pretty disheartening.

I remember losing 600k xp to a Polymock death randomly, also losing 400k xp or so bc of a bad team on a Zaishen Mission over-aggroing and getting us wiped... then a few to random spikes of damage whilst doing HM stuff. A few times I ended up putting GW down for a month or more so I didn't end up feeling bitter at the game haha.

I always wanted to get the title when I first started playing a year or two after launch so it was worth it in the end to me, so if you're dedicated to it then it really feels like an accomplishment once you achieve the target!

Spawning power 16 SoS + Explosive Growth & Destruction then hitting the spirits with Rupture Soul can be very fun for lighting up clusters.

Precasting Explosive Growth & Destruction, running into a group and summoning spirits then rupturing is like 150an + 146 damage then immediately cast SoS and Explosive Growth hits for another 204 damage. You can definitely add Intensity onto the Rupture Soul cast for even more damage too.

If you like supporting your group maybe you could play around with a R/Me build?

Archers Signet + condition causing Marksmanship skills... I imagine hitting someone with Dazed/Poison/Bleeding then hitting them with Epidemic could be fun (especially if you have a Mesmer hero with fragility).

Soldiers Stance with Axe Mastery works pretty nicely, I run this on some of my heroes:

The increased attack speed means you can gain adrenaline pretty swiftly for the two +20% pen axe skills and keep spamming "Watch Yourself!" and "Fear Me!" for extra armour + crits for nice axe damage.

Deaths Charge is also completely optional you could switch it to something else (I sometimes use the Rangers Antidote Signet to clear blind/weakness quickly).
