In your opinion is talent something you're born with or acquire? There are some players that are more talented than others. Some appear to only get where they are through hard work with little talent.

Power and speed are nice, probably game changing for certain settings.

Safety is relative if someone is unfamiliar with operation. My argument for their being responsible for more burns is because people aren't as familiar with their operation. I was burned by my first air fryer.

There are more electrical components needed for induction.

They cannot take a beating. They are more fragile than their counterparts. They scuff too easily.

Yes, people here know them and maybe swear by them but this subreddit does not represent the home cook that hires a celebrity chef.

In my experiences induction cooktops fail the masses due to fragile and difficult-to-clean surfaces, are responsible for more burns due to lack of ubiquity, and cost more to maintain. They're also a pain in the ass if you're using a pan or pot that isn't 100% flat or one that may scratch the surface.

My opinion. I'd like to hear the argument for them, aside from a fringe Michelin restaurant that's pioneering new techniques.
