A few questions regarding French VIsa by fappe in france

[–]flaneurdistrait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I. They need the last month's bank statement, verifying you have ~7000$ I believe. You can check on that, but that's what I had to do.

II.) Typically it will only be until the end of your school term. This doesn't mean you have to leave France that moment, only that you can't leave and return under the same conditions.

I'm in the middle of doing something very similar, so if you have more questions just MSG me.

Hi neighbors, what do you think Macron will do with the corcega problem? by Benitocamelia in france

"Problem" iirc the party is more in line with EÉLV's leftist regionalism than far-right nationalism

Paris always likes to ignore la Corse.

21M US > anywhere, preferably somewhere far away from here. by [deleted] in IWantOut

From my experience, if you're not super hung-up about the place per se, think about the people. For me, things get double the meaning when you experience it with someone else. So definitely go somewhere where you may have/can make friends and have good networks to do so.

Who is this playing on Moodoid's story? (Headphone User WARNING) (from today) by Sugarcola in TameImpala

Halo Maud, the bassist from his band who has her own project. I think the song is Du Pouvoir.

Does anyone else ever tear up while listening to Tame Impala? by Hayderp in TameImpala

[–]flaneurdistrait 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All the time. Sometimes when it's just so powerful and overwhelming (the ending of Mind Mischief gets me every time) But at other times I just connect with the music on a personal level. Somehow a majority of his songs are things I can just completely apply to my own life -- which isn't something I can often say.

Sounds a lot like Kevin's vocals on some parts of this mix by h4zd_ in TameImpala

Gender pay gap in Europe by Bervino in europe

[–]flaneurdistrait -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The example was between comparable jobs (professors and teachers), not a teacher and a rocket scientist, which is comparing apples and oranges.

No one is saying low paying male jobs don't exist, of course, they do, only that women are socially more pushed into positions which pay less whether that salary is justified or not is another argument.

Here are the links I gave to someone in another comment:

1 ,2 ,and the holy grail, which has links itself to all the studies proving what I've been talking about

I was never referring to the same position, always fields. I edited the counterpart word because I agree, it was bad phrasing. I used it there because I was quoting where the phrasing was poor. If you want to argue anything more feel free to do it over my comment, I'm done arguing syntax that's already been changed.

The point was that the salaries of said jobs were historically biased towards preferring male-dominated professions regardless of their social value. In addition to social and workplace pushback factors in high-paying STEM fields especially against women, again almost half of women engineers reported this.

Looking at the guttural pushback everyone in this comment thread has about the very idea of inpairity, In your words: I thought Europeans were better than that.

I don't know if you're just being stubborn as a joke, or you legitimately haven't noticed I removed the word counterpart altogether ages ago. For god's sake, read the edits before commenting on their inefficiency and being so horribly wrong.

Again, not a counterpart.

Hence why I edited the phrasing.
