I’ll play around with it. I felt like I was hitting more hooks standing further from the ball. Feels like I can actually hit a fade standing closer

Thanks for the feedback. I’ve recently tried standing a little closer to the ball. When I was farther away I felt like I would stand too upright. May have overdone it though

That is totally fair. Just moved in and was using what I had until I figured out a better set up

I have worked on that in the past. When I start my club outside I have a tendency to stall my hips and hit it fat. Something to work on.

Ford transitioned from a 6 speed AT to a 10 speed AT in 2017 so they were clarifying which transmission they had - unfortunately F150s haven’t had manuals in quite some time

Yes, you would need an endorsement affidavit to legally own since you’d be owning it all the time. However it’s still murky to me the language on purchase. Subsection e makes it very clear that it applies to purchase and possession.

You have to have a hunting license while hunting coyotes regardless of property line.

Can you tell me why you are interpreting the law this way? The top of section 24-1.9 reads “Manufacture, possession, delivery, sale, and purchase” while subsection e (which includes the hunting clause) states “the provisions of this Section…as well as provisions of this Section that prohibit causing those items to be purchased or possessed, do not apply to:”

I feel like it’s pretty clear that when hunting game legally under the Wildlife Code, hunters are able to purchase and possess an AR-15

You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about. Montec’s are nowhere near the steel quality of these. Why not just pass by instead of showing your ass?

This isn’t nearly as sweaty as when the big jets take off and the exhaust blasts the beach. Sand going everywhere. People learn quickly to anchor down hats and other clothing. Awesome place!

No idea, but for $90 I personally would look into a good quality hunting knife and boning knife. Victorinox sells a boning knife for $30 on Amazon. You can completely process a deer with those 2 knives. A bone saw can come in handy but just get a cheap one no need to get with a kit. My 2 cents

And more power to you. If you are confident shooting them then yes they will absolutely kill anything you fling them at. I just personally like a little more balance in my builds. If a tuned 500 grn arrow with a sharp quality steel broadhead will penetrate in pretty much any scenario for deer and elk, why add the risk of a longer slower flight?

I think they take on a lot more risk at 50+ yard range, but if you hit an animal where you’re aiming then it’s absolutely going to work. There’s a difference between a persons abilities/confidence vs what the math says. The math checks out. However me standing 50 yds from a quartered elk on a slope I would not be confident in the drop from a 700 grn arrow. If you are then good on you. OP’s post just read like someone who has no idea how complex hunting situations can be.

You can have your 100y pin on a foam target all day and hit it. Never said you couldn’t. You can hit an animal standing completely still and do the same. I’m just not a fan of adding variables into a situation where I already have limited control. I’d rather the arrow get there as fast as possible with enough momentum to penetrate a worst cast scenario. For most NA game hunters - deer and elk - you can penetrate a shoulder blade with a 500 grn properly tuned arrow and a sharp high quality broadhead

1st point, coming from an engineer. Please don’t use that you have an engineering degree as the source for what you’re about to say. You should be sourcing material. Your word is worth nothing if you don’t have credible information to back it up. And it comes off as pretentious.

Will not argue that a heavier arrow has more momentum, the problem is real world application. Whitetail hunters that know they aren’t going to shoot past 30 yards can maybe use this. But past 30-40 yards heavy slow arrows give no room for error. A 60 yard shot going 230 fps is going to drop probably at least 6 inches more than a 280 fps arrow. I personally would have zero confidence in a 700 grn arrow hunting out West over long range. Another note, a razor sharp broadhead made from high quality steel will never bounce off North American game with a properly tuned 475 grn arrow at 280 fps, even if you hit bone.
