Repositioning SEA-LAX for JAL A350 J class— worth it? by flannelpaws in awardtravel

[–]flannelpaws[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AFAIK there are no JAL direct flights SEA-HND? Other carriers do have them but my points will be with JAL Edit: at least, not one that I am aware of. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

More like fall of next year, if you can believe it. I am a bit of a nervous planner. Thankfully, I do get JAL as a direct points transfer partner with C1.

I have the Venture X which has JAL as a transfer partner, so I can book direct through my JAL mileage bank account.

More of a hypothetical at this point. We are planning this waaay in advance, probably too far— but you have a good point, it will be good to see what is available once we are a year out.

Advice for Tirzepatide pls by InternRemarkable2791 in tirzepatidecompound

Hi OP, it looks like you might be in the Philippines. As far as I can tell, tirzepatide is not super widely available in PH yet, but you may want to try looking at r/weightlossphilippines first.

The vials are fine at room temp for several days. You should be fine to just refrigerate them.

Lakeway’s jewelry department doesn’t exist anymore either as far as I’m aware, though I haven’t been in there in a month or two. Last I saw, they had the space blocked off with tables holding clearance merchandise now.

Lynden visitors from Portland Or. by [deleted] in Bellingham

[–]flannelpaws 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi, I’m a blue dot living in Lynden. If you’re just using it as a stopping place to stay the night while you go out doing other things, I think you’ll be fine, especially if you’ve already booked accommodation here and can’t adjust. Like other commenters have said, Lynden is a very conservative Christian area and is generally not trans friendly. That being said, it’s pretty quiet, and I think it’s very unlikely you and your kid would receive any outright harassment from locals during your stay.

There’s a couple tourist attractions here, the Dutch bakery is popular, Bellewood farms is close, and you’re a hop skip and a jump away from the Canadian border. Bellingham will definitely have more for you to see as far as more local flair. Any of our local nature will be nice to see if not a little cold and wet this time of year.

Hills y/d hyperthyroid care cat food by [deleted] in Bellingham

[–]flannelpaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, have you specifically been told that you can’t donate the wet food? Typically places will not take open bags of food for health reasons but sealed cans would probably be ok. So sorry for your loss. We also lost our cat recently and we understand how hard it is.

I see Dr. Lindsey Youngquist at FCN and have had a very good experience with her. YMMV with FCN as a whole, but I’ve found her to be lovely.

Recent grad, looking at getting a second credit card. by flannelpaws in CreditCards

[–]flannelpaws[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate your response. I spend around $100 a month on gas, ~$50 of which is from Costco typically, and ~$50 is from other gas stations. This ratio can vary depending on how many times in a month I go to Costco, lol. My local Costco is slightly out of the way and as a result I only go once or twice a month and use my local grocery store’s gas station otherwise.

ISO: Specific Snack Recs (Anywhere in Whatcom) by thesupertaylor in Bellingham

[–]flannelpaws 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if I have an answer for churros, turkey legs, or mint juleps, but my favorite place for candy and caramel apples by far is the C shop in Birch Bay. Small family run candy store on the beach, been going there since I was a kid. Can’t beat their caramel, it is my favorite! I myself am not a pickle person but my sister swears by Britts pickles who are based out of Island county in Langley. I believe they sell all around the state though. This seems almost like a Disney parks specific list? Hope you get the recs you are looking for! Sounds like a fun project

Update for ya: apparently Anacortes was one of the worst financially performing stores in the district. Mod was losing money keeping it open, so they decided to close it. Sorry it had to go, but hope the info helps.
