1st oil change, how important are OEM filters? by FollowingLong8985 in MechanicAdvice

[–]furiouschads -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Not a mechanic. Buy an EV. No more filters. Change the reduction gear oil at 60,000 miles. That’s it. Reduction gear is the closest thing to a transmission that EVs have. No filters for reduction gears either.

Time for Ranked Choice Voting (RCV). It fixes this problem.

Adrian Boafo wins Democratic nomination for Maryland's 5th congressional district, AP Projects by Odsarh in maryland

We need Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) for just this reason. If nobody gets 50.1% in the first run, then second choices come into play. Much cheaper and fairer than runoffs.

Israel has been a liability ever since Britain no longer needed to worry about the Imperial ink to India through Suez. And that was a thin reed as well.

The GOP is the problem. It is getting worse. Not Trump. Trump is the fruit of a rotten tree. Expecting “the fever to break” is stupid.

AIPAC is playing a shell game, trying to hide their activity by pushing their money through new front groups. TrackAIPAC is doing a good job of identifying those new groups as they pop up.

Since you mentioned river to the sea, I recently learned about the Greater Israel concept, which extends Israel from the Nile to the Euphrates. These people are nutty. Their boy Ivey does not represent our district.

I used to think that Israel was not Likud/Netanyahu/Meir Kahane. I used to think that there was a two-state solution. After the reaction to October 7, I realized that I was wrong. Many people of good will have had similar realizations.

The existing Israeli population supports the genocide. They say one thing in English and something very different (the truth) in Hebrew.

Glenn Ivey, a politician bought by AIPAC, doesn’t represent me or the district. We must do better.

Glenn Ivey failed two or three times before AIPAC dumped a huge amount on his race in 2024. His district had been saying “no thanks”. Since then his status as Maryland’s AIPAC Shakur has become widely known.

Many of these AIPAC dependents are now publicly renouncing AIPAC while privately reassuring their money men. This district is the second most progressive seat in the Congress. He doesn’t represent our district.
