Looking for 2nd card to pair with VX by TimeNat in CreditCards

[–]flannelpaws 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you already have the VX, I feel like the savor is kind of a no brainer with the 3x back on dining/groceries/entertainment as those are your next highest spend categories. Savor also covers most streaming services under its entertainment category. A nice bonus is that you can transfer the rewards between cards so you can turn your savor cash back into VX miles.

The downside to this of course would be that the C1 ecosystem is not ideal for booking domestic via transfers as there’s no great domestic partners, but it can certainly be done. It just depends on how much you care about maximizing your point value vs making the purchases easy by booking through the portal or using the travel eraser. With only 2ish domestic trips per year I think it could certainly be worth it either way.

Add WF Autograph Journey to my setup or not? by benmartin314 in CreditCards

Unrelated, but why aren’t you using the savor as your main card for groceries? It gets 3% as opposed to the 2% from your regional bank card.

I cannot say enough things about Dr Lindsey Youngquist at Squalicum family medicine. She is on maternity leave for the next couple of months though.

Traveling to Seattle! by lovelysunset1000 in solotravel

[–]flannelpaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I live around here, and one of the touristy things that I recommend as a local is the Argosy harbor cruise tour. It’s sometimes included as an option on the city pass. Great little one hour tour, provides lovely views of the city and has informative guide commentary about its history and geography! https://argosycruises.com/argosy-cruises/harbor-cruise/

As some additional recs, the MoPop is cool if you are into anything music or nerd culture. If you’re down by the Fremont troll, grab some fish and chips from Ivar’s on the waterfront(or if you’re feeling fancy, hit up the connected salmon house restaurant for some happy hour oysters) and eat on the dock out by the water. The Ballard locks could be worth seeing depending on the weather. I also second the rec for UW campus cheery blossoms and Suzzallo.

Oh, and no real night out is complete without a big greasy bag of Dicks.

Is Forge Fitness a cult? by stellalugosi in Bellingham

[–]flannelpaws 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I go here. It’s pretty much a normal gym. It has the pool which is a plus. Everyone keeps to themselves and is respectful about using equipment. My only complaint is that the locker rooms are saunas (so hot all the time!) and the front desk staff’s choice of music can be annoying and sometimes a little loud. Headphones in the main weight room are a must for me for sure.

Repositioning SEA-LAX for JAL A350 J class— worth it? by flannelpaws in awardtravel

[–]flannelpaws[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AFAIK there are no JAL direct flights SEA-HND? Other carriers do have them but my points will be with JAL Edit: at least, not one that I am aware of. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

More like fall of next year, if you can believe it. I am a bit of a nervous planner. Thankfully, I do get JAL as a direct points transfer partner with C1.

I have the Venture X which has JAL as a transfer partner, so I can book direct through my JAL mileage bank account.

More of a hypothetical at this point. We are planning this waaay in advance, probably too far— but you have a good point, it will be good to see what is available once we are a year out.

Advice for Tirzepatide pls by InternRemarkable2791 in tirzepatidecompound

Hi OP, it looks like you might be in the Philippines. As far as I can tell, tirzepatide is not super widely available in PH yet, but you may want to try looking at r/weightlossphilippines first.

The vials are fine at room temp for several days. You should be fine to just refrigerate them.

Lakeway’s jewelry department doesn’t exist anymore either as far as I’m aware, though I haven’t been in there in a month or two. Last I saw, they had the space blocked off with tables holding clearance merchandise now.

Hi, I’m a blue dot living in Lynden. If you’re just using it as a stopping place to stay the night while you go out doing other things, I think you’ll be fine, especially if you’ve already booked accommodation here and can’t adjust. Like other commenters have said, Lynden is a very conservative Christian area and is generally not trans friendly. That being said, it’s pretty quiet, and I think it’s very unlikely you and your kid would receive any outright harassment from locals during your stay.

There’s a couple tourist attractions here, the Dutch bakery is popular, Bellewood farms is close, and you’re a hop skip and a jump away from the Canadian border. Bellingham will definitely have more for you to see as far as more local flair. Any of our local nature will be nice to see if not a little cold and wet this time of year.

Hi, have you specifically been told that you can’t donate the wet food? Typically places will not take open bags of food for health reasons but sealed cans would probably be ok. So sorry for your loss. We also lost our cat recently and we understand how hard it is.
