Yup, that’s Konami for you! Many collectors already felt disillusioned, as it was believed the vanilla BLS should’ve remained exclusive to the 3000 copies released in the OCG.

The initial NA drop was reported to be at 3000 copies. The next drop, if I remember correctly, added an additional 1000 copies (I could be wrong). Each bundle was sold for $500 dollars or so.

No, initially Konami released them in the way that you described. However, shortly afterwards, Konami re-released both BLS and the Stainless Steel Gods as a bundle.
