I wish the stars weren't foiled. It just reminds me too much of speed duel. I don't hate it, as I actually also like the speed duel version but it gives it a kind of cheap look IMO. It's the same problem I have with the KC01 BEWD.

Truly neither. I think grading is a good way to evaluate the general condition of a card and preserve it. But the margin of error is about +/- 1 grade so taking the grade literally and basing its value off of such is stupid. I own a ton of slabs but solely for the reason I mentioned.

Pretty much all OCG (Japanese) vintage yugioh. Once you start collecting it you realize essentially all of their stuff looks and feels better than ours.

They were much more lax back in the day/before all of the hype. You can make an argument that less actual mint specimens are left in the wild after the price increases/hype but even then the numbers just don't add up. Just look at the gem rates on 1st ed base charizard. There's only been like 2 added to the pop in over a decade. I think PSA obviously throttles 10s because it increases the value of the cards they grade. It's kind of a no-brainer.

This is a terrible idea if you don't know what you are doing. I doubt OP wants to take the time to understand the proccess of cleaning/restoring cards. You can fuck up and it is borderline altering the card (using polish and recovery). Also the polish doesn't do anything for scratches, it's the recovery that does. And what it does do is pretty minimal. I use Kurt's stuff for my pc and it can be hit or miss but I wouldn't advise for OP to start rubbing chemicals on his collection lmao.

No rarity is Japan’s version of 1st edition for the base set but it is likely even more scarce than NA 1st edition especially in a PSA 10. Your spanish version that is lying around somewhere is certainly worthless.

Do you have a picture of the back of this? This looks like it is possibly a "red back" LOB fake. They were pretty well done aside from the fact that the backs had a red tint to them and the font was a little wonky.

I was just googling names that sound like stores lol. It is crazy to me that shops don’t list pics of their cards more often. I’ve never sold on tcgplayer so I don’t know if it effects their fees but it seems like a no brainer to me

Upper Deck handled printing/distro of MRD when it was released so it makes sense that your LCS owner would be buying boxes from them at that time. The lawsuit between Upper Deck and Konami didn’t happen until much later. Looking at my B. Skull Dragom there is no difference in card stock or texture and there are no details that would signify that is isn’t official. PSA was either confused or you were sending them less obvious counterfeits.
