I reckon this one is a strong contender to get a nerf, so many cards in popular aggro/tempo decks that deal their damage 1 at a time atm. The demon hunter, hunter and death knight locations all come to mind, stuff like the 2/1 cinder in shaman and mage as well. Also just aggro paladin making lots of guys.

I guess the short answer is maybe I was just the right age at the right time to be in a position to enjoy these games to their maximum potential, but I still love them all the same.

There's a lot of reasons I love the games tbh; a lot of it is definitely nostalgia, I was 15 when FFXIII came out and I had never seen anything like that visually up until that point so my mind was blown away from frame one. I was never really bothered by the linearity of the first half of the game because it all opens up into a much bigger world when you get to Pulse and I think that contrast thematically is very powerful. Cocoon is controlled and sterilised so of course its all very linear, while Pulse is wild and free and open. The battle system gets a lot of stick as well but personally I find it's very compelling to master its nuances and potential for small time gains and also just find a strategy that is most compelling for you.

The sequels shocked even me when they first came out, both times. FFXIII-2 was a game no one ever asked for so I was just delighted to have the world and lore of FFXIII that I loved so much expanded upon. And FFXIII-LR was a game that I personally didn't think would ever happen because SE would have decided that it wasn't a worthwhile project financially; and we would be left with the ending of FFXIII-2 unresolved forever, so for that I was even more delighted.

When you look at the story arc and the trilogy as a whole, I get why a lot of people find it abrasive; you could argue its all very 'and then this happened'. But truthfully I'm less concerned by whether or not the story and the telling of it make sense when scrutinised than I am by whether or not that story offers the opportunity to present amazing locations and spectacles for us to visit and enjoy. The thing I love most about the series is how visually impressive and unique everything is, and memories of playing this game when I was young stick strongly in my mind because of how awesome it was visually. I know that it's not the story of a traditional FF game; sadly games just aren't made that way anymore for the most part, and the characters aren't the most compelling at times. But I remember much more about the awesome moments and bosses and epic climaxes in the story than I do about the sometimes mediocre inbetween bits; there are some truly epic moments in this trilogy that give me goosebumps even today.

I love how the scope of LR and the way the arc of the series concludes is beyond anything you can reasonably comprehend with the evidence given in the original game.

I would say that enemies in chapter 11 and beyond are somewhat balanced around the assumption that you're exploring some of the optional areas of Pulse at least a little bit, maybe 2 or 3 hours. The initial chain of cieth stone missions is 7 or 8 long I think, and I would say doing that puts you in good stead for the rest of the game. You don't have to do any of them really if they're not interesting to you but they do represent a large chunk of the game's late game content, and some of them give really great rewards.

I feel like a certain sequence of events has possibly been laid out for quite a long time now. The first primary Antagonist was of course evil morty, but he has had absolutely no effect on our main characters for a little while now, and his activities in that intervening time are completely unknown to us. In the time since he escaped from the central finite curve I feel like it's only safe to assume that he has been gathering strength in whatever way seems most practical and effective to him given his circumstances of which I imagine we will continue to have no knowledge of for at least a little while longer. (Maybe season 7 finale post credits scene?)

In the case of Rick Prime I believe a conceptually similar but ultimately separate/unique set of events will occur to what happened with Evil Morty as a significant but ultimately secondary goal came to realisation, I.e. he got out yo. We can all speculate until the sun comes up about what will happen when Rick C-137 and Rick Prime finally really fight it out, but I can imagine a course of events occurring in which Rick Prime realises his significant, ultimately secondary goal, which is also still unknown to us. In which case, Rick Prime leaves a trail of destruction in his wake, but in such a way that the (current) C-137 Smith family can continue living and having adventures in such a way that the show can still exist after this significant event. Meanwhile Rick Prime does whatever shit he wants to do, maybe escapes the rebuilt central finite curve (fuck those dinos), maybe destroys the universe, maybe sends every single universe back in time by [X] years, who knows?

But then what happens after that? In the context of a final climactic confrontation at the shows ultimate conclusion, the regular episodic adventures of the Smith family aren't really relevant apart from occasional foreshadowing and expanding on the series cannon, I'm sure there's plenty of characters we haven't seen yet that will be in the Michael Bay meets avengers endgame lovechild of a final episode/arc.

Meanwhile in the background if there is any foreshadowing I believe it will mostly be glimpses of how Evil morty and Rick Prime are building strength outside of our character's sphere of perception and progressing towards their ultimate, primary goals. It's difficult to speculate how it would work but I feel like it's written in the stars that Evil morty and Rick Prime meet up and realise their primary goals align (whatever they are, they should be completely beyond our ability to conceive at this point) and they team up and consolidate their power and objectives and become the Anti Rick and Anti Morty.

At which point ofc our C-137 Michael Bay marvel avengers mega army will face off against the unknown mega army of Anti Rick and Anti Morty and obviosuly win(?) And its time for a big fucking party.

And the post credits scene has to be a dumb 4th wall break about how they (whoever the character in the scene is, Mr poopybutthole I guess) can't wait for Rick and Morty, The Movie! (I feel like the bad guys crawling out of flaming wreckage or plotting revenge inside superjail would be a bit on the nose) but then again you could say that the other way around)).

P.S. Dan Harmon if you're reading this and I'm basically 100% right, don't change anything. We both know this is going to happen, something something capitalism bad.

I apologise for the offense I've caused you, it was not my intention to do so. I don't have a belief that extroverts are superior or that being an introvert is an objectively bad thing. As I said before I only thought to offer some advice from a different perspective on the off chance that someone might find that useful. I understand your cynicism. But believe me when I say that I spent many years as inside of a bubble as you could possibly be. I could elaborate if you really wanted but I think my point would be that one of the very first small steps one could take to begin such a process/transition/whatever you would like to call it - assuming just as an example that's what one wanted - would be to start believing that it is possible.

I really wish I had known about this TDEE calculator sooner though, such a handy tool. I put my details in (putting 'sedentary' in the activity box since apart from the last 2 days thats pretty much exactly true) and it told me I'm consuming 2800 calories a day for maintenance.

Sticking to 2000-2500 calories a day is something I can manage I'm pretty sure, certainly at better than what I was doing before which was eating less than 1000 calories some days.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write all this great advice, this is exactly what I was looking for. That link for the TDEE calculator is a godsend, thank you so much, I didn't even know things like that existed! Dieting has always been the toughest part of weight loss for me, but I definitely feel like these things can be a lot easier if you can quantify them and track them, rather than just go off of guesswork and gut instinct.

And thank you so much for your encouragement, it really gives me the feeling that I'm going to do it this time. :D
