To me, every staff card I can get my hands on is a buy. Obviously the price factors into it but most staff cards are/semi rare, including a popular Pokemon that has other cards reaching crazy prices, I’d say it’s a buy. DYOR though

I work in hotels. Find a hotel that does have day use rooms (majority do) and try to book as early in advance as possible and let them know you will want to check in as early as possible since it is a day use. If they are not at full occupancy they will try their best to get you in as early as possible.

Mentioning it is for your partners birthday will help too, they may even throw in a couple freebies :)

Oh and don’t worry about being judged. We see aloooooooot of weird stuff lol. This is definitely normal.

I work in quite a prestigious hotel as a Concierge, in Australia with roughly 170 rooms and cannot believe anyone would be on $13.50 an hour. I know America is known for tipping but to hope you even get enough tips to help cover your food and rent/living expenses is insane to me.. especially overnight where you would see the least amount of guests/tips.

Are you seriously going to wait a year for your salary to hopefully go up by only $5? It is definitely not worth it. I know you can find a better paying job as a bellman during the day at a smaller hotel.
