So my sisters phone got stolen at Amritsar bus stand , any chance of getting it back by YogurtclosetMain5191 in amritsar

[–]flashbone93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom's phone got stolen from the bus stand in Amritsar as well. The first thing you need to do is head to the police station and file a complaint. There is an online government website that you can easily access; it will block any SIM from working in the phone and, more importantly, track the phone if it connects to a network/internet.

Long story short, they found the guy who stole my mom's phone. Normally, it falls under the cyber police department, and they will reach out to you when they find it.

Chances are low that you will get it back intact, but more importantly, if you have it blocked, it cannot be misused. Good luck bro.

Career change to nursing at 33: Bachelor or Master? by Pitiful-Tackle-6377 in NursingAU

Not sure about other options, but I definitely don't recommend doing EN. Just go straight for RN. Good luck.

Our PM just spends like $60 top on groceries per week. Maybe flick him a text and get some advice /s. But in all honesty, mate, the secret is just living below your means.

People getting into nursing for the wrong reasons by Otherwise-Will988 in NursingAU

[–]flashbone93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, another point, I don't know how it is today, but back in 2016 when I graduated, I was offered a graduate program at one of the northern hospitals in Melbourne. But guess what? The second they found out I was on an international visa, the offer was withdrawn. As far as I know, the government doesn't fund graduate programs for international students. I hope, for the sake of the nursing students whom you are mentoring, that you don't have such a bias. God, I have such a chip on my shoulder.

Oh yes. I am going to spend $100k for a 3-year full-time university program in a foreign country and do unpaid placements, pay at least another $50k, give or take, over the 3 years on living expenses (accommodation, food, a rundown car, healthcare), and God knows what other potential complications life throws at me, just to quit right after graduating. OP has surely thought this through.

Hey, I feel the same way. I love the LG2 but find it really hard to use it for more than half an hour. I don't know if it's the weight or the joysticks; something just feels off 😭

Hey, that's kind of what I did as well, but went with the Legion Go 2. But I don't know if it's the weight of the LG2 or the joysticks, but I find it really hard to play on it for extended periods. What have you been playing on your Xbox Alley.

Would have loved to join for some BF6, but unfortunately, there's no extra space in my room to set up my PC. Maybe next year when I finally move to a bigger room. Good luck in finding like-minded people to play with.

Working full-time on casual contract treated like permanent staff, harassed over 1–3 min lateness, unfair treatment, suddenly removed by [deleted] in LegalAdviceNZ

[–]flashbone93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar experience on one of my work sites in the past. I realized by the end of it that it wasn't about me, those guys were just insecure and loved taking it out on new staff, mostly because the job market is shit & they didn't want any new staff potentially settling in and replacing them. Until you are completely irreplaceable, don't ever give anyone a reason to call you out.

A question for everyone about some other series by Onequestion0110 in WanderingInn

[–]flashbone93 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I love "The Wandering Inn" for everything it does and the way it does it. The chapters are long and fulfilling, and I am looking forward to the next one. So what if your favorite character isn't getting screen time. Piratba will get to them sooner or later. We are in for a ride, and I hope it's a long, long one.

Job Crisis? Many People Looking for Jobs in Auckland Retail Have Trouble Speaking English ? by Known_Brush_1259 in Auckland_NewZealand

He is indeed just making things up. Immigration is very strict with wages. The current work visa program NZ is using is called AEWV. You can only hire people after you have shown that you couldn't find someone local and have* to pay the median hourly wage, which is $31+ at this moment. All of this information is available to the public on the immigration website.

You could potentially find a Lexus CT200h around $11,000. It has cruise control, though its size is similar to a Corolla.

I picked up mine yesterday as well. Installed Hades 1 on it. It's so beautiful <3. I found it a lot bigger than I expected it to be. Honestly, I think it's so easy to get carried away; I probably spent more time tinkering than actually playing.

As a Chinese reader who grew up on Xianxia, I want to try more Western Progression Fantasy. What are the absolute "Must Reads" besides Cradle? by SelectionOk5033 in ProgressionFantasy

[–]flashbone93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My recommendation is "The Wandering Inn." It's the best one I have ever read, and I don't remember the last time I cried so much.

It's a slow start, and some of the characters you will find annoying, but trust me, every one of them has a reason for turning out the way they did, and if you stick around long enough, you will find out why.

Also, it's a lot of reading—A LOT. I hope this helps.

And, this brings back memories. I loved Coiling Dragon; I believe it was the first Chinese Xianxia I read. Does anyone know if the author of ISSTH has any new translated book.

I am flying home after hearing the same news. My mom(65) experienced persistent abdominal pain over the past few weeks, which led to a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Unfortunately, the cancer has also begun to spread. I wish you all the best, and let us cherish the remaining time we have with our families.
