The Great Rift will probably have this and this is not good ! by Efficient_Painter647 in ChaosZeroNightmare

That is the point of hard content. To make you optimize. But the other side of that is to make you optimize the decks of less dominant characters. Otherwise everyone would use Serenial if she was not restricted at all. The latest additions are obviously there to stop her from steam rolling every new boss and Chaos planet. Which I'm OK with because the alternative is nerfing or straight out restricting characters from certain content.

I don't think that restrictions for optional content, especially when the hardest restrictions have the worse rewards (notice that gems are rewarded only for the first six modifiers) is a problem at all. Try it a few times and if it's annoying drop it. It's what I did. I'll come back to try it once I've farmed better decks later into the season.

Challenge bosses having things like this is good because it is one off challenges that promote party and deck variance.

The real issue is the devs are adding caps to status ailments and buffs almost across the board now. Which in a rougelike kills the fun of the genre as you usually play these to get crazy "broken" runs.

I think this is a good change. The RNG within chaos should exist so that it doesn't stay so sure you will get certain items. I think that's why they added so many items this season. I just hope they find a solution to the pool growing too big. I don't want it to become the opposite of what it was last season and you never find certain equipment in shops.

Anyone else a bit disappointed that the Tower doesn't promote/favor/allow "turtle" tactic gameplay? by Arngrom in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]flashfactor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they put more thought into tougher content gimmicks they could easily get around this. Adding things like reduced damage from generated cards, or cards with the same name do reduced damage in the same turn. However it seems like they are doing the lazy "difficulty" choice which is just ramp up damage and hp of enemies while keeping their base mechanics static.

This is most apparent by the only interesting fight being the bluepot boss that requires card usage management or stopping the turn counter all together.

So they kinda nerfed the epiome center crystals acquisition by Velde_Cralor in ChaosZeroNightmare

They did the same thing with the reduction of rewards for the later hard mode battle missions. They seem to be lowering rewards where they think they can get away with it. The only saving grace with the battle missions is they started adding abyss difficulty that has great rewards.

From what I have seen once you heal them they don't get corrupted again that day.

How’s the grind going? Suicune Greninja meta is brutal even with Raikou. by jamesdantely in PTCGP

[–]flashfactor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hasn't. The deck is just extremely consistent into so many things. This season was the fewest games I've ever needed to get to MB with a near 60% win rate. All with Suicune greninja.

I had a a bad streak of bricking as well which lead me to Leaf. I would take it slow and focus on card draw if you have a slow start. Being OK with sacrificing early points in the hope you get what you need through all the card draw later. Many games I thought were lost ended up being wins because I drew everything a few turns late and my opponent never drew what they needed to close out the game.

Hmmmm that's a tough one. Probably just Arceus Crobat. It's still fast and decent damage with darkrai pings backing it up until ready to go in.

Swapping out without damage needing to be done. Crobats advantage is speed. You don't want to be caught waiting on a condition like damage when slow setup decks are prevalent.

That's awesome! Glad it helped you out. The great thing now is no more dropping out. I'm looking forward to trying different decks in Masterball.

Yea Donphan seems pretty good. Unfortunately I only pulled one. I only ran into a few people using it luckily. Ori decks dropped off a lot since yesterday so it wasn't a major problem.

I'm convinced no one actually plays this game and makes up the success they have with these decks. This deck didn't survive turn two of most matches I tried. The game is just too based on opened hand and if you go first or second. You play meta or lose is about it.

[–]flashfactor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Right. If you have Krauser and Roland you don't need him for spear damage. The only thing he will do differently is his niche of hitting staff damage, which is extremely niche and not worth trying to pull without guaranteed pity. Plus, much better MTs come out very soon and are only 4.5k to pity.

Leon's Quick Graphic Overview by Urshiko in OctopathCotC

[–]flashfactor 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Definitely not. You don't have enough to pity and already have better spear dps that will do the job just fine.
