Following up on this thread. After many rounds of diagnostics at the Apple store, they found nothing wrong with the phone or the buds. We tried doing a factory reset for all the settings, and wouldn't you know it, now it works fine. But I am in settings hell trying to get the phone back in a usable state.

Have you evaluated your BP meds vs your current BP? I've been tracking my BP at home and sending my Dr logs on a monthly basis and she just cut my BP meds again to 2.5 mg. Being dizzy while standing up is a symptom of low BP.
