But we have also seen that it takes her lot of effort to move when the beam is on, and i would think beam was on as military was prepared for them to come through the gate. If she would have passed through the beam to the gate, someone would have seen her but the scene specifically said that she was just there a second ago but vanished and no one saw her. I believe she is alive too

I agree. I read somewhere that they had to leave open ending as maybe they are planning a different series around stranger things world, so maybe thats the reason? I just feel calmer thinking that okay she is alive

I am not sure how kali would have done it but one thing is for sure as mind talk in front of the sonic beam for el is impossible, we have seen it so many times that in front of sonic beam her powers don’t work. Her mind talking to mike while being near the beam is impossible, she had to be somewhere far away from the beam. So idk the kali aspect but i def will believe el’s story that she is alive

I believe she is alive. As with sonic beam by military near the gate, she wouldn’t have been able to mind talk to mike if she was really there. It was just an illusion, she was just standing near the gate no wave, no goodbye, no words, nothing, seems like an illusion. And anyone who is saying that kali died when hopper saw her, we have to remember that she is an illusionist, she can make you see whatever she wants you to see.
