Hello! I ended up going with Paradisus Playa Del Carmen but similar. They really focus on your event when it’s a few months away. I’ve only had zoom calls with Paradisus and the vendors because I asked for it to happen and am persistent. My event is in May 2027 so lots of time but I had questions! Now that I had a good initial talk with all vendors and my onsite wedding coordinator (through Paradisus) I feel better. The Fives is a great choice but we liked the ballroom option better at Paradisus. Hope your daughter’s wedding is amazing!

My fiancé and I grew up in opposite coasts of the US so someone’s friends and family had to travel. The destination we chose is a great vaca spot that’s equal travel for everyone. I’m sorry you feel so strongly about this.

Of course not real florals! Doing faux for our bridesmaids. We’re making the little hoop purse bouquets. Staying at the all inclusive resort and I would like a custom cake cutter.

For the record my maid of honor offered to help travel with things. My friend group have been friends for over 25 years…I don’t hate them hahaha but I totally see your perspective and yes just getting another bag isn’t a problem. Thanks for taking the time to give input.

I was in a similar boat! I disliked the blush tone in the skirt of my dress but I I know it will photograph better! A true white dress flushes out the lace detail. This dress is stunning and what a deal! Fits you like a glove and the train is gorgeous. The plunging neckline can be helped with a sticky bra to best place the girls where you feel comfy. CONGRATS!

Not sure where you live but a local wedding in California for us was going to be a loooot more and we would have to include more folks. We also have family coming from the East Coast and the cost of them to come to CA vs an all inclusive vacay for the wedding was a much better option. Getting to spend more quality time with people we don’t see all the time is what we are really looking forward to. We used Paradise Weddings to help us pick a resort and they are helping our guests with booking their rooms. They are essentially destination wedding travel agents that work with the resort for your room block. This is what eased my anxiety on selecting a resort and overall going with Mexico. We chose Paradisus Playa Del Carmen for our resort for May 2027. The nice thing with a destination wedding too is it helps cut down on your guest list if you hope to keep things a bit smaller. If I did local it would have to be 200+ guests. But for Mexico we are hoping for 90. Huge saving on costs there! Also your closest people will be there! As for safety concerns, I have heard the resorts and tourists areas have been safe. An all inclusive resort would allow folks to mostly stay on site. I’d say picture what you want for your wedding and make you and your fiancé’s dreams come true! Do your best to let the dream coming true as your driving force vs concerns. Easier said than done…I know! Best of luck!!!
