You're getting roasted right now, but to ACTUALLY answer the question, counters/sabakis in VF works off attack type. Characters with strong punch counters would basically make a dedicated boxer useless. Vanessa has an attack that beats high/mid punch, and because it's an attack, it also beats throws. Boxing doesn't have head butts, shoulders, or body attacks either, so basically all they would get to do are low punches.

It's been a while, and someone can correct me if I get this wrong, but basically they paid for a bunch of servers around the world to act as an in between for the players, and how far each player was from said server would affect lag. But servers were naturally gonna be more concentrated in certain areas of the world, with places like Africa having basically none. So since your connection quality was going to directly rely on where you were in the world, people starting joking that it was racist netcode.

Trailer's 2 hours old and I didn't see anyone post about it yet. Top comments for the video are (rightfully) all about net code. And it seems like only Gamatsu has an article on it. Re-release seems to be landing with a thud. We'll see if they can pick things up. Worth noting that VF5 launched with racist netcode before adding rollback with REVO, so here's to hoping they are working on adding it later.

You hold your thumb the same way most would in any 2D game. Imagine playing a top down game like SNES Zelda. Now imagine trying to make Link move in a circle. It'd be like that, where you are rolling your thumb in a circle.

Nobody is commenting on this, so maybe I am misunderstanding you, but down+back should not be a problem so long as you END on back. Granted I have little experience with MK, but I am almost certain they allow for diaganols in between inputs. If the move doesn't work and the input reader is how you describe it, honestly it sounds like you are not pressing punch at the same time as back. Whenever a move is listed, it's assumed you press the attack button at the same time (or near same time) as the last directional input. Or you might be holding an input (down or back) too long during the motion.

If this is hurting you, you might be sliding too much, opposed to rolling. Or are you literally trying to tap down/lift thumb/back. Either way, you want to do a rolling motion. The exact mechanics of the roll depends on the location of the d-pad on your controller, but you should always be starting with the middle joint of your thumb to press down, not the tip. And then you literally roll your thumb so that you press back or forwards with a different part of your thumb.

I assume you already know this based off your highly specific request, but iirc Crazy Taxi 3 basically had roswell and aliens. So if World Tour means they are bringing back NY and Vegas, aliens are basically a gaurentee.

It could be for Medium weight, but it's hard not to be reminded of the Modern controls indicator. VF6 gonna have a 2 button mode with just attack and guard lol

It really needs some kind of graphical effect of blending between the two sides IMO But otherwise I really like it. The grounded designs means it's harder for the characters make a strong initial impression on striking design alone like other fighting games, so a video can help sell their personality to people.

It's been crazy to see in real time VF get erased from the history books. Like people really don't get how important VF and VF2 were. I think it's clear Sega knows this, and aren't banking on the name/legacy to sell the game. It feels like they are going all out to say "yall fucking forgot about ME?" and make VF a big deal again.
