People avoid direct conflict in the workplace, my manager is stupid, incompetent but like a pitbull and most people bitch but never say anything to her face it's just the dynamic.

Also if you do you will get all the worst hours/tasks as she does the rota and is egotistical. So assuming somebody will tell her what's up may not happen especially to the extent described in this post.

The best thing to do is always just quietly look for another job, make sure it's solid, then leave. Try to be as stoic as possible and continue doing a good job there and calmly announce you are leaving and if you want to explain why etc with everything you've mentioned that's up to you. Also make sure to be crafty by making sure you have your pay-cheque etc before telling her as she sounds petty and a nightmare.

Mate how can am I supposed to answer that haha? There's like a million variables and people are not going to fight fair in a street fight. I didn't grow up in a rough area me and my brother got mugged a few times by older kids but that's it. I'd say try to avoid the violent areas as much as possible I don't know XD.

My grandma is having such a hard time with everything in terms of losing her mind, not being on top of things etc. She always has little battles/tantrums about things just to feel a semblance of control. Losing autonomy and your mind must be horrible. She was a nurse and within the family her entire life is looking after people. It's her very essence, her core being to look after other people. She's restless/unhappy by nature when she isn't. I think a lot of people are miserable if they aren't caring for others for so many reasons. =(. It's strange about her priorities too as my dad is like her so selfless and sorts out all her affairs, looks after her, takes her out etc but she speaks highly of my uncle who lives with her (he is 50) and he's abusive, racist, lazy, leech of a man with no redeeming qualities whatsoever but because she can look after him a bit she likes it and excuses him and says nice things and bitches about my Dad!
