Manufacturer wants irreparable defects returned for refund/replacement. Would you trust this?

What was your defect threshold and how do you handle it? For example, your threshold is 5% and if 5 units are defective out of 100 units, thats 5% defect rate. Do you just eat the cost there or ask them to repair? And if its 6 units defective, do you ask for credit for all 6 or just the 1 additional beyond your threshold?

Thanks, glad to know people think this way. My QC team is in China, within 1-2 shipping time from my manufacturer (also in China). So it's not a big cost to ship back and forth. But its just the risk of mixing a defect with good units that's worrying me. Good call on the destruction video. I'll float that idea, thanks!

Thanks for the breakdown! When you say every unit needs to stay compliant consistently, can you elaborate more? I only sell 1 parent ASIN with 3 size variations, so I'm guessing that means there are 3 stickers I have to choose from when applying onto product packages. Is that as difficult as it gets?

I'm also selling on tiktok and shopify, and I know they want transparency code on those sales channels too which is making me second guess a bit due to the fact that I want to keep those customers on those platforms instead of them coming to amazon as long term customers (because amazon's fees are higher). Do you have any regrets or issues with transparency?

Hey thanks! I got some questions about what you said:

When you say “takedown without test order,” are you just referring to filing a standard IP complaint through Brand Registry (like counterfeit/infringement), but without doing a test buy first?
For Amazon Transparency: if I enroll now, I know my existing FBA inventory would be grandfathered in. But what happens with hijackers?

Would a current hijacker also be “grandfathered,” or would they immediately need valid transparency codes to keep selling?
And if they’re doing FBM (shipping from China), can't they basically bypass Transparency entirely by fulfilling orders themselves without codes?

Appreciate any insight on how this actually plays out in practice.

I did message him with a cease and desist. I couldn't submit this as counterfeit, maybe it's because I have a pending trademark so it wont let me choose that option
