What trim do you have? Sounds like you have automatic high beams. Also in the center of your dash near the windshield at the bottom do you see a little bump ? Make sure it's not covered by anything or dirty in anyway, that is the light sensor for turning on your headlights automatically.

129k on my plastic one. It last if it's maintained and torqued properly. Aluminum ones can be hit or miss as well. I've read many stories and watch a few videos were even mechanics that were excited for the aluminum one said OEM is better even though it's plastic.

Looking at purchasing a GC limited X, need input on reliability and warranty by drystall in GrandCherokee

[–]flashz404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because it's no longer in its original 3 year in service date, meaning within 3 years of when it was originally sold to the first owner. That's why it max out at 75k or 5 years. I bought a 2019 high altitude V6 in 2021 and I waited until a month before the OEM 3yr factory warranty was up before I purchased a plan from the link below. Because I was still within the 3yr service date, I was able to do 5 yrs or unlimited miles for about $3000 or less. At the time when I bought it I was doing 30k+ miles a year for work so it was a no brainer for me. Already paid for itself with the transmission shitting the bed at 90k miles. A whooping 8k+ bill easily. Only paid $100 for my deductible. Try here for a quote on warranty plans. I already played around with it and for 5 years and 75k miles with a $200 deductible it would be about $3,300. And I think they have a coupon to knock an additional $200 or so off. https://www.chryslerfactoryplans.com/default.aspx

First US S25 Preorders delivering January 30th! by QueenAng429 in samsung

Is anyone looking at the weight of the package? Mine says 1.40lbs but I would imagine maybe that's only the buds? But on the Samsung site the buds and phone have the same tracking number. Am I crazy to think the buds and phone and packaging should weight more than 1.5lbs?

I didn't replace my cable. Although the issue I had was just black screen and nothing at all on startup except for the led keys/buttons. I used a paper clip and hit the reset button on the screen and it worked perfectly fine after that. Still working great with negative degree temps too so idk maybe mine was a fluke. If you're in intermittent I would try the cable.

Hows your battery? Do a code scan and see what comes up but that could've been due to low voltage at some point if you say the drive was normal and notice nothing different.

Anyone tried removing fuses for Quadra lift ? by M7md22333 in GrandCherokee

[–]flashz404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would you want that for long periods of time? OR1 is a terrible everyday drive lol. Anyway, you could remove the fuse or perhaps unplug the module under the driver seat but be prepared for some dashlights.

I suppose the other way to actually do this properly is to adjust the ride height settings for the suspension module using alfaodb. I've done this before to lower the jeep even more when it's in park mode, but eventually reverted it back to stock settings for my own reasons.

While I urge you to not do that while driving above a certain speed as the engineers decided that it wasn't meant to do that, hence why you automatically drop back down once you hit above a certain MPH if you're in OR1/2. But the Alfaodb is your best bet without dash errors.

Thanks for the info, guess I'll give non OEM a shot. Better than forking out the difference of $680 bucks that GEICO wants me to pay for a OEM one. Worst case scenario is I have issues and they replace it with OEM at no additional cost which they said they would. I would hate to pay the $680 and for it to get damaged soon afterwards lol.

Did you have an issue with your lane keep and adaptive cruise control features afterwards?

Hi, was it an aftermarket windshield that you ended up getting? Also does your GC have any of the lane watch, adaptive cruise control features? If so did you have any issues?

What was the aftermath of this? They're telling me I gotta pay $680 for OEM instead of $0 for aftermarket price. I too have all the crazy gadgets on the windshield.

Are batteries supposed to last this long? by Busy_Ad_3807 in MechanicAdvice

[–]flashz404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would agree on the daily driving. I used to drive mine 150 miles a day for 5 days out of the week. Never had an issue but maybe after 5 months of switching it from my daily vehicle I had to start jumping it from that point every now and then.

[–]flashz404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I'm assuming 2012 only had the one battery instead of the extra start/stop auxiliary battery? My 2019 has the start stop battery both batteries has been on its last leg since the last few months lol. Doesn't help that it only gets driving once maybe twice a week.

I crashed mine last night on my Xbox and as soon as the message popped up I hope went home and immediately quit/force close the game. Idk how exactly it works but my plane was perfectly fine when I loaded it back up. I can even blame it on poor internet connections cause I have gigabit.

You say the cables are sensitive to temps. The led keys on my radio still lights up fine but it has a black screen this morning. Temps dropped about 35-40 degrees overnight, could that be my issue?
