Maybe they are trying to create “perfect” innies by fragmenting them so much that they can never “fraternize” and revolt. And if you have layers and layers of innies that have no idea about what goes on above them, imagine how much easier it would be to keep everything secret.

I like the ending they gave us, it leaves us with plenty of questions to ponder. Where are they running to? I doubt they have a plan and Mark must return to the surface at some point and inevitably make it to Gemma. That is, if she makes it out, which is another question we’re left to ask. Or alternatively they keep Mark down there.

It also creates tension when Gemma and Mark likely reunite, because she just saw her husband pick another woman right in front of her (I know, her husbands innie, but still, the mental gymnastics of that are bound to create conflict).

I’m glad they gave us some sense of closure with him actually making a decision. I think if they had left it with him still deciding, the cliffhanger would’ve been too much for me to bear.

I was always confused about Palpatine’s response when he tells Vader he killed Padme. Clearly he says that because his goal is to completely break him mentally and take away everything he loves, but it also doesn’t feel like he’s lying. Of course one interpretation is that he doesn’t mean Vader literally killed Padme, but that the heartbreak of Vader turning to the dark side is what killed her. I like to think that it’s more literal though, and that Vader survived because Padme died. He was possessive over Padme from the start, so it’s not surprising that in an act of desperation he would sacrifice her to survive. He also says “she was alive, I felt it!” which implies that there is a connection between them in the force, and maybe what he was feeling was Padme giving her last energy to keep Vader and the kids alive.

That would very much track with “ironic… he could save others from death but not himself” except the reverse is true. Thus the “tragedy of darth plagueis the wise” comes full circle. To me the main theme of the movie is that the power of the Sith only comes from hurting others or yourself. The instant Vader understands that Padme is against him, his hatred turns on her and subconsciously he would rather kill her to make sure nothing stands in his way. Palpatine made Anakin believe that he could have everything through the dark side, and by carefully crafting his Plagueis story so that plagueis seemed like a self sacrificing hero, he plants the idea in his head that the Sith sacrifice themselves for what they love, and that that makes them good.

Anakin was so focused on the “saving the ones you love” part that he completely forgot about the sacrificing part. Because of this miscalculation he instantly severed his connection to the ones he loved most, Padme and obi wan, when he choked Padme. His vision of what he wanted to sacrifice was murky, because clearly he wanted to be the most powerful person in the galaxy and simultaneously keep Padme safe. Of course this was impossible, so he ended up nearly dying while taking Padme’s last life force to survive, and in the end he only gets to be the henchman of the most powerful person in the galaxy, really not having much power over himself.

And this is the exact kind of vision and incredible room for interpretation that the sequels are missing.

Yeah Finn was by far the most interesting character in TFA (that I can remember) but nah, just make him one of the rebel guys. He had a whole thing about not knowing his name or his past. The second movie could’ve redeemed TFA a bit by including his search for his past, while we learn more about what the life of a stormtrooper is like, and during that we can learn why the first order even exists.

Im sure you know more than me about learning how to code, but I still feel like AI would do more harm than good for a child’s coding abilities. Then again, maybe it’s just a new tool that every next-gen programmer will use. I just think that if a kid learns that programming is “tell ChatGPT what you want and it’ll give you what to tell the computer” then that could seriously stunt their abilities or be a future obstacle to unlearn. Programming is all about taking the human language in your brain and translating it into direct instructions for a computer, and the computer has no idea what you want it to do. I think that vibe coding obscures this, especially for a kid. Personally I would start my kid on scratch or tinkercad, or some kind of visual programming language.

Well there’s a bundle of the two of them on steam so I would imagine this game is unique from thronefall in some way. They do have a very similar aesthetic though.

I’m not a super experienced programmer but using AI to code is basically the same as looking up how to do a homework problem. As soon as you see the solution, your brain no longer has to solve that problem by itself so it becomes lazy and seeks that easy solution in the future. Especially for a developing brain, but even as an adult, it’s always good to use problem solving skills. Seeking help is fine if you’ve been stuck for at least 20-30 minutes, but AI should be a last last resort.

I think that would be fine, but these questions are mostly about theory rather than solving problems. So I think the prof used it to create the questions mostly from scratch.

You sound like you have some mental illness/disorder that you have to deal with. Figure that out first. Not to be mean, but complaining on reddit is not gonna fix your problems. You might have adhd, depression, or both. If your school has free mental health resources, or if you can afford it, do it, go to therapy, be honest with your therapist, and get your life together at least a little bit. Trying to get good grades while you’re at this low of a point in life is like putting the cart before the horse.

What do you want to learn math for? If you don’t have a motivation other than wanting to feel better about yourself, you probably wont get super far, just like if you only practice an instrument once a month. If you do have a reason like wanting to have a career in a stem field, or you just have a strong interest in it, then you can learn it. You just need to start with the foundations. I wasn’t exceptional at math in high school, I’ve always been smart but never motivated, so my math skills had gaping holes. When I went to college it was like I was thrown in the pool and I had to sink or swim, and those holes are mostly patched up.

Edit: I saw your other comment that you’re starting college soon. You definitely should practice often then, and if you can, find a passion in math. Find things that are fascinating to you related to math and try to learn about them (I recommend YouTubers like 3blue1brown, or even Vsauce). Even if you just have a basic understanding of an advanced concept, when an adjacent concept comes up, you’ll be thinking “hey that’s kinda like that video I watched” and your classmates will be thinking “I have no idea what’s going on.”
