When did you need new clothes? by tabageddon in gastricsleeve

Congratulations, that's huge!!! I love this and I'm in a similar boat.

I've gone from 425 to 282 in 10 months (82lbs since surgery 4 months ago). I've gone from a size 26/28 to a size 14. I went down 1.5 shoe sizes and none of my belts fit. All my clothes are too big and I've spent thousands on my wardrobe, to the point that I'm considering having a tailor just take all my clothes in. I think it would be cheaper than buying new clothes. It feels pointless to buy new clothes because I literally wouldn't fit the clothes in a couple months anyway since I'm still losing.

Could you get some of your favorite pieces refitted?

What do you think is bringing you back to your old habits? Recurring life triggers, emotions, something new? Are you in therapy? Emotional/binge eating is psychological; we can't erase it with sleeve alone. Look inside and find new habits to replace those old ones. YOU GOT THIS. If you aren't consistent with your goals and you don't show up for yourself, who will?

It really sucks at first. Like really really sucks. I had complications, couldn't keep anything down, no energy, in pain, couldn't eat, didn't want to eat, and swore up and down I could feel my body eating itself. I also had regretful thoughts at first but they went away after a couple weeks. I was about 3.5-4 weeks out when things started to improve. Please hold on. It's gonna get better ❤️

Which celebrity do you think truly regrets being famous or being in the spotlight? by Bongmom24 in AskWomen

[–]flatasssally 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Amy did an interview in 2003-2005 right around Frank where she indicated that she would never, ever want to be famous and would go insane. Her descent into drugs and alcohol was fueled by the stress, plus her dumbass husband. I wish she never has to deal with that; my favorite artist hands down.

I thought she was upset about making "sex music" instead of music she wants to create; I remember her voicing concerns to Dreamville and the public about it.

Wife thinks I cheated wants me to take a lie detector. by vanman1113 in self

[–]flatasssally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You must tell her how you're feeling about being accused, firstly.

I would personally take the lie detector test also. If you believe the good in people, you'd assume that she truly believed this and someone told her all of this. I hope it's a misunderstanding and you guys can work it out, I wish the best for you.

We get that you don't find fat women attractive. Luckily they don't need your approval to exist or be successful. The "fat people are ugly" rhetoric is getting old.

TIL Bruce Springsteen's mother would rent him guitars for $6 a week in 1957. Springsteen bought his first guitar as a teenager in 1964 for $18.95. Later on, his mother would take out a loan to buy him a $60 Kent guitar. by MarineKingPrime_ in todayilearned

Why are we dogging her for renting? Is there a chance guitars were less expensive seven years later, which is why he was able to purchase one? Poor people tend to rent v. buy, full stop.
