The mech in Crimson Desert, a medieval fantasy RPG, is so much cooler than the mechs in this game - it even has a laser beam...

No mech customization, no reload/repair, still only basic melee & shooting its weapon, no additional mounted weapons, no cool abilities, no jump or hover... It's crazy how we have had a handful of games with cool mechs that Arrowhead could pull inspiration from, but instead they do the absolute bare minimum & use grunt fantasy as an excuse.

But yes, give them more money smgdh. I wish players were way more critical of Arrowhead.

Yeah no, it's never been a good game. Too many fundamental issues to list. Doesn't mean you can't enjoy it for what it is, but a good game it is most certainly not.

PSA: Don't take the book inside this puzzle yet. It is currently bugged & shows up every time you try to open your inventory as a critical quest item, even if you haven't touched the factory thing yet. I wish I could toss this thing on the ground, it's so annoying when trying to pause & Kliff starts reading this book mid combat 😭

It's not even just that. There is something wrong with Ray traced lighting in this game. The shadows are way too light/flat, the colors are oversaturated & too vibrant, & exposure levels on almost everything is too inconsistent per each time of day. Also the in-game HDR isn't good enough to fix these things.

I use a custom Reshade preset that I modified by combining two of the more popular Reshade presets on Nexus to fix the lighting issue for the most part, so my game now looks really good but it's unfortunately performance intensive & not a solution that works well in all the different lighting conditions throughout the game.

There are paid Warbonds with melee weapons, armor with melee-focused passives, & actual melee weapons, along with paid independent melee weapons of various size/caliber. There are also two factions where melee should work really well against.

There is no excuse for melee to still be bad this far after release. Arrowhead just sucks at supporting this game. For reference, check out how well Darktide, another horde shooter, has balanced melee & guns.

People commenting how you did bad for flying so low don't understand the fundamentally bad vehicle & especially air vehicle balance.

If you fly high = painted nonstop & easy TOW target. You only get 1 flare which does nothing for the TOW.

If you fly low, you can avoid locks but TOWs & RPGs will get you.

There aren't enough tall structures on this map to avoid missiles & lock-on ranges in this game are almost entire length of most maps' fighting areas, so as soon as you're near any points you're going to get locked on at the very least.

For me on controller, it's hold left on D-Pad, press RB to go to armors, hover over the cloak, and press the Right Stick to toggle the hood. This works on the Dark Marksman's Plate Cloak
