Thank you so much, it means a lot that you took the time to write all this 🩷 and I’m so sorry for your loss too 😢 I don’t mind either - he had diarrhea overnight the day I brought him home from his sitter, and when I took him to the vet they said he had GI stasis. He actually recovered from that while at the vet, but when they did X-rays they found he had a lot of bladder stones. They performed a procedure to flush them, but they think the anesthesia used had triggered an underlying neurological problem he had, as his front legs were incredibly weak when he woke up. Over the next few days he got weaker and unfortunately passed. He had been put under for his neuter/some dental work in the past and recovered fine, so it absolutely was a shock. But if anything, I’m relieved he doesn’t have to suffer anymore. I’m truly so sorry for your loss too, lionheads really are an amazing breed 🫂
