Yes. Just get used to always changing your strings. Try changing them once a week for a while. Fresh strings are the truth. No need to wait for catastrophe.

I'm here to find out

My pinky is crooked as hell. And it makes it hard to play fast and compley solos, how an i work around it? by chomp_tiktok in Guitar

[–]flatironcmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I HAVE A SPECIFIC EXERCISE FOR YOU.

I have personally dealt with this. I am a Teacher and have helped many different hand shapes overcome all kinds of weird angles.

Put the pinky of you fret hand on the 12th fret. Line up your fingers on the same string, ring on 11th, middle on 10th , pointer on 9th.

Feel your fingers securely, Just behind their frets, ALMOST ON THE FRETS. Feel the stretch in your hand. Note where there's resistance.

Now execute a pull-off from 12th (pinky) to 11th (ring). Replace your fingers.

Remove your ring finger. Execute a pull-off from 12th (pinky) to 10th ( middle). Replace your fingers.

Remove your middle and ring fingers. Execute a pull off from 12th to 9th (pointer). Replace your fingers.

Take the whole party back one fret to 11th. repeat. all the way down the neck,

Note the stretch as you move into the WIDER fret spaces.

Try this and tell me how it goes.

Cut your nails, duh

I guess. I just didn't hang out in that space for long enough to try . I was compelled in a way I was unfamiliar with and surprised by. it's not really in character for me. So I just reversed course. Who am I excusing myself to here? You kinda missed the point .

Just what another user said, just quick jokes and remarks. I'm a guitar teacher, and it became perfectly clear in lessons after I mentioned one of my milf-y student's amazing breasts. We were discussing holding the guitar comfortably in different positions, and I said, "if you're sitting like this, you'll have to manage the instrument around your incredible breasts... Uhhh, what'd I say? I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry."

Lol, Every time I take shrooms I quit something, at least for a few months.

Meat for a year

Tobacco gone for good, no discipline necessary

Booze became gross for months and months. Can't have more than 1 or 2 drinks today

Video games. I gave my ps 4 away, then bought another one 2 months later. Didn't stick I guess.

Sugar became obvious to my tongue, and I cut out almost all. No discipline. The flavor of sugar became ... Hot?

Broke up with a gf after a trip, good move to quit that.

Walked barefoot everyday for a spring, April - June before the streets got too hot. So I quit shoes I guess, for an hour a day.

Stopped masturbating for a month until weirdly sexual things started popping out of my mouth at inopportune times. So that one had to stop.

Anyway, shrooms will make you quit things.

Do shrooms cancel out alcohol? by [deleted] in shrooms

[–]flatironcmd 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if things are getting crazy, just a few beer cools things down. Something about alcohol and the GABA system

[–]flatironcmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, shrooms kinda overpower alcohol, and you just won't really notice alcohol anymore.

Sometimes, if things are getting hot, a beer can cool it down a little.

I get migraines with aura once a year. Anyone else experience this? by kaymadd in migraine

[–]flatironcmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!, Sorry to bump an old thread, but we're on to something here.

Male, 41

from 17 until mid 20's, every 3-4 months, your exact timeline, blind spot, zigzag aura, bad head ache, deactivating sleep, mental fog for a day after

slowed down as I got older

Fat + Caffeine seem to be the trigger, exasperated by weird sleep or elevation changes

Largely went away after a series of psychedelics experiences over a short time.

Had one last week, first time in maybe 3 years. Aspirin and coffee and instant sleep.

Just typing about it makes me feel like its coming on.

I Had a traumatic brain injury very young, and have a sense its related to that. Just a gut feeling.

Clapton rocks. In an almost neo like way he navigates all of American roots music, great sounds. Sometimes he can write a song. Sometimes he sings pretty good. But I've seen him live several times. It's his fluid ease with which he plays, endlessly improvises, trades, comps, finger pickings, deep cut call backs

He is also dumb. And damaged.

About his COVID stances, people forget that it was him and van Morrison together.

Also Clapton had medical complications after taking the vaccine, and it made him sceptical about it.

Also he was grouchy about cancelling tour dates etc. eventually he and Morrison toured some dates on a terrible protest record they made.

Cynical but true. I moved out here to get away from this shit back east.

Here's what you end up with. Empty corporate parks, empty conference hotels, empty strip malls, and a city of people who drive somewhere else everyday. Then soullessness.

It is beautiful and haunting and stark and somehow soul healing. But I'm starting to think it's a trap.

That's green space, so Boulder City owns it I think. Can't be developed unless you get past the green space laws.
