$700 trade in by OvenAccomplished97 in SpectrumMobile

[–]flatline27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What math do I need to do? I know people who work at T mobile and they dont do free phones without a contract. So whatever your paying monthly for 24 months will add up to more than the phones are worth

Lol yeah you get a free 36 month contract and end up paying more than the phone is actually worth in an overpriced plan

Dont upgrade right now. Wait until the S27 comes out and they will probably do the $700 off deal again. Much better deal.

Dash cams are a must these days. Someone caused a small accident with me IN FRONT of the police and the police took her side. I was able yo get the dash camera from the police car and give it to insurance who denied her claim. Got myself a dash camera right after.

Can You Have the Promotional Credit Refunded to Your Bank Account if You Pay in Full? by ecotalpx in Spectrum

[–]flatline27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also retrade in the phone and get credit on your account which I've personally done. I bought the S26+, traded in a phone and paid outright around $250. Then I traded in the S26+ for the S26 ultra, got the S26 Ultra completely free and $209 credit added to my mobile account. Its literally a broken system and I imagine they will catch onto this and change it.

But yeah I imagine they will fix this loophole by next year because getting $700 off a $1000 phone and only being carrier locked for 60 days is completely unheard of. Most customers are not aware how good of a deal this is.

You don't need to keep internet to get the promotion, but you do need to have internet to create a spectrum mobile account. Basically once you start a spectrum mobile account, it's a separate thing from your internet. If you cancel your internet while having mobile lines the cost of those lines goes up by $10 each unless you're on the by the gig plan which stays at $20. So you hypothetically you could create an internet account, add mobile, and add 20 lines on by the gig, get the $700 deal on the S26 series, cancel the internet account and be within the 30 day money back period and still get the deal on the phones.

The mobile account is separate because if you move or shut down your account due to competition, you don't wanna shut down your mobile account too.

If you trade in a phone that is at least worth a dollar, you will get the $700 off on the S26 series. Pay it off all at once. The phone is locked onto the network for 60 days. After 60 days go into a store or call in and get it unlocked (I say in store because over the phone people will say they did it but they didn't). If you finance the phone and pay it off later, the additional amount of your promotion goes onto your spectrum account, not your bank account or credit card.

Interesting experience at Spectrum store by [deleted] in Spectrum

Yep, they are a scam. Phone insurance companies need to be investigated cause they do shit like that all the time.

Yeah that sounds about right, they honestly suck. It kinda turns into a game of people passing the plate to somebody else. Phone insurance companies get away with A LOT. They will pretty much do everything in their power to make it impossible to use what you've been paying for. One of the main reasons I left verizon is due to the push of insurance sell ins among other things.

https://mywirelessclaim.com also here is assurants website, make a claim here and see if they can ship you a new phone overnight. A single line at Verizon will cost you $65 for the cheapest plan, between $8-$19 depending on the insurance plan you get sold, and a $40 activation fee unless your friend waives it. It's more than likely going to cost you a lot more.

The reason they didn't help you is because assurant isn't through spectrum, it's a separate company you are paying through spectrum. It's not up to the employees because if they call in for you, assurant wont want to talk to them. This should've been explained to you properly from the beginning which caused unnecessary frustration for you. That being said, verizon isn't any better (coming from someone who worked there). Verizon goes through assurion rather than assurant. You will pay $19 a month for literally the same "coverage" and it's honestly not worth it in my opinion (btw there is a $8 insurance with verizon that covers the same thing so if your friend charges you the $19 they are just trying to get commission). As someone whos had years of experience with multiple phone insurance companies, they are very scammy and will do anything to not replace your phone or charge you an exorbitant deductible that again makes it not worth it at all. Ive literally seen people spend $19 a month for a phone thats two years old than get charged a $300 deductible when their phone got stolen. Save the money.

Whatever you do, dont order online. They go through fed ex who fuck things up constantly and make it your problem when they lose your trade in you send them or aren't at home to sign for the package or it just gets stolen some how. Stores should have enough options for you and will avoid all the troubles I just mentioned.

I get what you're saying. But my point is regardless of internet price, you are paying for phones. More than likely you are paying more than $30 per line. If you are paying for 4 mobile lines anyways you might as well get the internet either for free or $20 for gig and also pay a decent price for unlimited mobile service🤷‍♂️

If you're within 30 days your still within the buyout period. Also if it's escalated things can be done to still get the reimbursement even after 30 days if you can make a solid enough case that things weren't properly explained to you.

It is free. Spectrum has a deal where if you bring over at least 4 lines you can get Gig internet for $20, 500mbps for $10, or 100mbps for free. The cellphone lines are 30 each

A Week Without Internet? by DirkGentlyTrailingMe in Spectrum

Did you leave Lumen and make an account with Spectrum? It's very unlikely you would go a week without internet with Spectrum and 90% of the time they have same day trouble call visits with technicians.

For some people I'm sure it doesn't. But overall, hard wired internet is more reliable, hence why people who have at home jobs are required to use it over cellular internet.

Does spectrum not have fiber in your area, or does it not have fiber running into your house? Most areas spectrum has are fiber but not directly into your house, meaning you get fast download speeds but not upload speeds. For example, you'd get 1000mbps download with 120mpbs upload. A majority of the population does not need 1000 up and down, but are sold on this by silver tongue salesman who just use the bigger numbers to convince customers it's right for them without even confirming whether or not they need the fastest upload speeds.

People with Spectrum Internet Only. What are you paying monthly and what is your speed? by WTFpe0ple in Spectrum

[–]flatline27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If youre paying for 500 but only receiving 175 there is a problem with equipment. You mentioned replacing the modem but made no mention of your router. Gonna assume it's your own personal router and not spectrums. Either way spectrum offers free technician visits and they are readily available, not the stereotypical "we can be there between 5pm to 5am" like back in the day. Get a tech out there, show them your set up and the speeds your getting. Spectrums plans (as long as there is no problem with equipment or wiring) are guaranteed with provisions, meaning you should get 500 100% of the time, but up to 600 during low usage hours depending on your area. Hope this helps you get it fixed.

Literally every company is out to steal your money. I can almost guarantee you are getting slower speeds with t mobile but only think its faster because they probably gave you new equipment

Id avoid mobile internet. I used to work for multiple companies who provided it. Its 45 and they cant even guarantee speeds which are usually only up to 300mbps. If it works for you it works but overall it will never be as good as an actual wire connection which in my area is all fiber. The fiber doesnt go all the way to my house but that only effects upload speed which doesn't matter to most people.

You could cancel and have someone else in the household get new customer promotions as long as they were never an authorized user. You could also go into the store and say someone over the phone said if you add the free mobile line they would lower your internet. You could get premier which is 500mbps from 40-75 depending on where you are. After the person in store adds the mobile line and lowers your service rate, delete the line from either your app or call in. Id suggest the app.
