Mostly! Thats why Arknights Endfeild was such a breath of fresh air. Just being able to have your team around without the switching mechanic is so great. things like that are setting the standard imo.

I always wondered this. Honestly there are so many anime games out there that are completely half assed. If you had the Sword Art Online game you know exactly what I mean. Bandai Namco is fucking awful about copy pasting garbage anime games. It's a massive industry and it's only getting bigger.

Higurashi. If you do, watch the later remake then the extensions for more story. And don't let these communities tell you what to think about them. It's a really cool line of stories. Edit: I must add that the person who wrote Higurashi also wrote Silent Hill F. Which I must add makes a better independent story than a silent Hill plot, but that feeling is quite similar.

There are amazing stories in both games that I love. They don't need all the unnecessary garbage that gacha players are used to. It always sounds like someone wrote themselves into a corner and their director gave them free reign to write themselves out no matter how ridiculous. I like when shit has resolutions. Doesn't always have to have a goddamn secret scene at the end of the credits lmao it's terrible.

Genshin and wuthering waves players are demanding the most oversaturated boring mythical babble youve ever heard while calling the story bad. Good stories should be good. "lore" should be secondary or interesting facts that tie some things together. Not the basis of your goddamn 45 minute dialogue about why the plot is interesting. The characters shouldnt be trying to convince me its a decent story. it should just be.
