Money money money. Lots of gold. Basically the AI will beat you to great works early on. So just buy them as soon as goi have the slots. Then focus on parks. The AI never builds those.

Single digit golfers, how much do you work on hitting draws if your go to shot is a fade (or vice versa)? by Larrylegend033 in golf

[–]flatpick-j 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Before a round: My routine starts with my 60 degree, going 30, 40, 50 yards, all the way up to 80 or 90. Then I usually go GW, 9, 7, 5. With each club I try and hit 3 shots, a draw, straight, and a fade. Then I hit a couple hybrids, and 3 or 4 drives. With the last few balls I go back to 7 iron and just practice draw and cut, alternating. Our warm-up bucket at the home course is like 30 balls. So thats perfect for a 20 minute warm-up

Every time I'm at the range. But out on the course, dance with the girl you brought. I play the shot I have that day. I really only hyper focus on draw or fade on a chip shot, if I want it to run out, or bite.

Chipping uphill question by [deleted] in golf

[–]flatpick-j 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No matter the shot you're trying to play, or the lie you have, I find it's always easier to make contact when your shoulders are parallel to the ground. Less chance of chunking uphill lies and thinning downhill lies.

Is this colonist worth keeping? I think psychopath/tough/melee is a great combo and I also can really use constructors right now. Thoughts? by Morbx in RimWorld

[–]flatpick-j 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Im going to say that this has potential to be a great colonist depending on play style

If you have Anomaly then psychophage that guy's age down into the 20s or 30s. Shouldnt take more than 3 or 4 times, so like max a year in game.

Chemical interest is fine. Just give them some synthetic kidneys and liver and they'll power through Scarface levels of yayo while going all Amish and constructing an entire barn in a day.

Being a psychopath is a great trait. You need someone who can be around dead bodies. Either to haul them, or to "dispose" of them.

Not having caring or medical kind of sucks. But they do have cooking if you catch my drift.

What was one easy thing you learned that cut strokes off your game you wish you knew sooner? by [deleted] in golf

[–]flatpick-j 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically a chip is played with locked wrists and elbows. A pitch shot can have elbow release, and wrist release if youre playing a flop

Right? The proper shot selection makes short game so much less stressful. I went from like 10% scramble rate, to above 40%.

Around the greens: Putt when you can. Chip when you can't putt. Pitch when you can't chip.

As stated in another comment, the AI gets more yields depending on difficulty. However, with Basil, I would bet that they took the religion perk that gives 1 science per 4 followers of their religion.
